Sucks. Dangerously close to where I was when I started a few years back .
Bad news Good news: BAD: I am eating a lot at night, and I am hitting fast food more and more out of convenience. Very demanding job and outside activities make this excuse easier to use. I ate right at all costs in my first go around.
GOOD: My activity level is still high. I walk on for exercise a minimum average of between 2.5 and 4.5 miles per day, plus do calisthenics every other day. My fitness is comparable to when I was at my lightest.
REALITY: I got down to 162 lbs two years ago and it was just too skinny. Wife, family and friends all said so.(of course I DUG it!) I am going to shoot for 175 while maintaining my healthy activities. The key, as always is logging here. that was the first thing to go. I hate writing about eating fast food, so I am less apt to eat it if I don't have to tell on my self!
191.0 lb Lost so far: 14.0 lb.    Still to go: 11.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Alright, Mike. Here we go. There's plenty of room aboard the bandwagon for the Been There Crowd. Isn't it crazy how much you underestimate intake when you aren't logging it? 100 cals here, 100 cals there...It all adds up to stored unused fuel.

Don't beat yourself up. Just get back to it. Eliminate the fast food and make better choices. So we all know most fast food places have alternative healthier choices even list the calorie intake. You feel better to pick the grilled chicken breast over the double bacon cheeseburger. Eliminate the fries and opt for water. Change up your fitness routine for maybe running or biking. Sometimes your body gets used to a certain activity. I understand the grab and go. I work and go to school. Good Luck but I know you can do it!

Hey Mike, one way to avoid the fast food habit is to make your meals on the weekends and freeze them for the week. I have a microwave steamer I use to reheat frozen foods, and it works great. That way you know you have dinner ready almost as soon as you step through the door. I'll buy talapia in bulk and separate the fillets into plastic bags with marinade, and then freeze. Add a little rice and maybe salsa, along with veggies, and you have a terrific meal that takes minutes to make!

Hey Mike. I am right there with ya! I have put on over 25 pounds since I weighed in last and I could just cry! It is so easy to put it on and yet so hard to take it off. That sucks! I wish the fattening, bad food that tastes ohhh so good was what was calorie-free and fat-free. LOL :) Food is a drug. I do notice that when I stop logging what I eat and I get back on fast food and sugary sweets, I become an addict. I think eating fruits and veggies and light protein is my new lifestyle forever. Don't be discouraged, just pick your journal up and start tracking EVERYTHING. You will when this battle. And so will I. I will see 144 again in the NEAR future!! Have a great day!!
