I use to love to do water fast days and fruit and veggie fasts. How did it go?

I was wondering about this.. Once you eat again won't that weight come right back immediately?

When I was doing fasts it wasn't for weight loss so yes the weight comes right back, but that's because that was my plan. It was just for cleansing and giving my digestive system a 'day off'. Or a day off from anything but fruit, veggies and water. I don't see any reason it can't be used as a tool for weight loss as long as you have a healthy mentality of it (no anorexic tendancies) and are keeping a healthy balance and average of calories and nutrients over all. Fasting isn't healthy or unhealthy in itself, it's all in how it's down... and why.

Fasting while in a state of ketosis allows your body to pull from your stored fat to create ketones for energy. I go right back to my same clean macros so I am only adding the actual weight of the food into my system. In a fully ketogenic state I find that I burn though my meals quickly which leaves only my stored fat to burn. Intermittent fasting only betters my results! I 100% recommend IF to anyone interested in losing body fat fast.
