Annabelle3117's Journal, 09 March 2014

The further I get from the two hundreds the more secure I feel in one-derland. Kind of like the feeling after you've been violently ill with the stomach flu and have managed to keep your first bites of toast down for an hour or so.... "hey, I might really be ok!". Yup, that's me lol. My feet are firmly planted in the soil here, throwing down some roots and calling it home. I would say go big or go home and shoot for the 90's, but nah, nobody likes an overachiever anyway. (that was a joke)

Today I am celebrating both my ability to cross my legs with ease and be a 'lady' as well as the extra room in my recliner. Hence, the new profile picture. The only room there used to be in that recliner was the three inches for my mountain dew bottle wedged very firmly between my thigh and the arm of the chair. That's the truth. Hooray NSV.

Yesterday wasn't too shabby. ATF (well, if everyone else is doing it...) went well also. My husband wanted sausage gravy and biscuits for dinner, which is all dandy but I always struggle with portion control on high carb meals. I improvised and had a huge chef salad while I was making the biscuits and gravy, then my portion didn't seem so meager. No snacking although I was up very late last night. That was all self control, late night munchies are generally my weakness. Luckily I'm not much of a late night girl too often nowadays. We stayed up late watching a "The hunger Games" marathon, followed by our recent purchase "Catching Fire". Great movies, but do yourself a favor and read the books if you're interested and haven't already. I am a book worm, they were excellent.

I bought a couple new shirts, all size 15/17. Whoop Whoop, they were three dollars a piece on the clearance rack lol. Wearing a new outfit today when I head out to visit my grandma in a bit. She's leaving for PA to visit her sister for a month or so, so I best get my ass over there to say goodbye. Of course she has like thirty grandkids that she was very involved with while they were growing up that now as adults are 'too busy' for her. Ugh, that pisses me off. Another topic entirely though.

Better get my meal planning out of the way before I officially start my day.

<3 Have a good day loves

I liked the books so much better than the movies. Isn't that always the way though? I just bought Divergent yesterday. I'm hoping to read it before giving in and seeing the movie.

Yes, that definitely is the way it seems to be. I've been watching the 'Under the dome' series based off of the Stephen King novel, and it's just ridiculous. Excellent book though, if you get the opportunity. It's a very large novel, but incredibly hard to put down. I'm thinking about re-reading it. I'll have to pick up Divergent, and steer clear of the movie as well. :-)

Kinda nice being able to cross the legs. A lady. Then I got hell from my chiro who said it wasn't for us to sit like that and to resume the manly pose. Know what's next if it hasn't happened yet. Your belly won't be sitting on your thighs.

I was about to write something but Cathy beat me to it. It does feel cool to cross the legs at the knees but it's really bad for circulation.. take it from an old lady. Speaking of lady, it's considered more ladylike to sit with knees together and ankles crossed, to the side, tucked beneath the chair. I remember that from the Princess Diaries or something, LOL. Love the pic; I always have to make sure my recliner seat has room for me AND Mushy. Cool, very cool, M'Lady. Have a great day!

I agree. Books were far better than the movie. There's only so much you can cram into a two hour movie that came from ... what ... 250 pages? My motto: Never judge a book by it's movie. Now that I'm 'on the bulk' for weightlifting I'm not having problems with my carbs. I am not overly fond of carbs. My suggested carb grams are ... 300. That's 1200 calories from carbs. Too much. I can't deal with that, so I've upped my fat intake to about 120 grs. That's just over 1000 calories. What's a little spooky is a teaspoon of butter is almost equal to a small apple in calories. It's pretty easy to make a mistake. Proud of you sticking it out in "onederland" as you put it. I see you're already starting to get a few new pieces of wardrobe. Don't get too fond of them. You won't be in them for long. You'll have to buy smaller again soon.

Hey guys stop stealing my leg crossing fun! Lol Surely crossing my legs cant do more damage than the extra weight would have over so many years? Ill just cross when im out and aboht feeling fancy, ive always been a risk taker! lol I agree northern, but they didnt do bad with the movies all things considered. Hooray for you bulking up, great profile pic! 300 grams of carbs is certainly a lot, especially when you try to get them from healthy sources. Or one donut would probably get you there lol. Thank you all :-)
