I usually do about 3-5 days before it starts, but have seen a gain a week before too.

I agree, about a week for me. It's water weight so, don't let the scale get you down. Atkins is excellent for weightloss and maintenance, you're on the right path, keep heart!

I agree with Skirch, but I've also been known especially to gain the most the exact day that I actually "start". I think it's mostly an individual thing, though, can be a bit different for everyone.

By the way...are you still doing Atkins? If so, that Dr. Oz Slimdown Drink might be your problem...due to the ingredients, it doesn' t fit into the Atkins way of eating at ALL.

I'm doing modified Atkins ... if you look at my food diary you see that my meals are in the Atkin's style ... I started the Dr. Oz drink because it contains cider vinegar and that's *supposed to help kick off weight burning?! And if my period keeps its pattern of starting 3 days before when it did the 'last time' then I am exactly 7 days prior. :P

I did look ay your food diary...that's where I noticed the Oz drink. ;) I wasn't sure about it being Atkins also because 12-15 carbs a day minimum should come from veggies on the "allowed list", and I didn't see that, either. If you notice on my food diary I also use apple cider vinegar every day on my lunch salad--organic and not strained as most cider vinegars are. MUCH cheaper than the Dr. Oz drinks, and no fruit juice or added sugars to "waste" my carbs on or derail my progress. Just passing along what works for me, in hopes that it might help you in some way, is all!
