I am a 36 year old mother of two wonderful kids. I'm lucky enough to be married to my best friend (15 years). I've made pension administration a career and work full time and also sell Avon part time. I'm super busy all the time, lol, so I find it hard to squeeze in workouts. I am trying to eat more healthy, lose some fat, and tone up. My ultimate goal is to be more healthy and set a good example for my kids!

Update: 8/30/2013 - I think I need to have a goal in place, so small goal. . . . 10 pounds off by my wedding anniversary, October 18.

Fed up with counting calories and carbs - learning to trust myself with food.
I thought I was the only person who did that! When I'm counting calories and trying to watch all the other things (carbs, fiber, protein) I get overwhelmed and overeat or binge. I successfully lost 17 pounds trusting myself to eat good foods, have a treat in moderation and exercise. I fell off the eating right wagon and haven't lost in awhile. I am going to trust myself again to eat the right foods when I'm hungry and get to my goal. Good luck to you!

Welcome aboard! I'm in search of healthier eating/snacking habits as well. I love sugar too! I make chocolate chip cookies WAY too often.

Dash Diet
Anyone follow the Dash Diet? Any tips? I've just finished reading the Dash Diet for Weightloss book and want to implement this way of eating into my life. More fresh fruits and vegetables and less processed stuff. As the primary cook and grocery shopper, it is my responsibility to feed my family healthy and I think following this plan will give me a good guide to do so.
