Day 1, Week 5 Holiday Cruise to Lose! (my gosh the weeks are flying)

Good Morning morning all you lovely, wonderful, BEAUTIFUL, health-minded Fat Secret Peoples!


So it has actually been an entire week since I journaled.
I am in a total funk. I actually got an emailed reminder. First time I have let that happen in the 4 months I have been doing this. I guess there is a first for everything, LOL

Mostly cause I am sick and I am a wimp when I am sick. No exercise, eating poorly the whole nine yards.

Old Man Scale: I have been visiting with him daily but did not have the heart to report in. Was bouncin' all over the place due to aforementioned poor eating habits and lack of exercise. The only thing I have done well with is my water intake. I was all the way up to 242 one morning. I am okay with the results this morning. Not TOO much damage done. Which is well nigh a miracle considering how many goodies (that I had enough of to feel sick) were around the office this week. Being sick eroded all of my control *sigh* And I am just on that edge. Not sick enough to stay home, lose my appetite, or lose weight, but enough to crave unhealthy things and throw caution and control to the wind. I actually threw away some cookies last night after I had eaten the ones I liked out of them so I would not be tempted later (they were free from Panera, ugh) This was after an all day binge *sigh* I am not going into detail but no not ALL is recorded in my diary. Working on no guilt but it is hard to hop back in the wagon when I am still dragging.


Holiday Challenges Goals:
Floor goal: Maintain at 240 (It IS the holidays)
Midrange goal: lose 3.5 to 235
Ceiling goal: 230 by December 25th!! 36.5 from when I first started watching and 8.5 from now!

I am glad you are back. I won't "lay a guilt trip" on you. I know how that is when my husband and I miss church for several weeks. The important thought is to get well soon and take care of yourself. You will be back in fine form in no time at all! Much love!

I think right now, everyone is having problems with their eating. Tis the season, I guess. You'll get back on the wagon, soon, Sima. I hope you get well soon! I miss you! Cobra, I do the same thing about church. The first few times I miss, I feel bad and then I'm okay with it. Because of the weather I already haven't been to church for 3 weeks and tomorrow doesn't look good either.

Oh, poor baby. I wish I could bring you a cup of tea and an afghan to keep you warm. I hope you feel better soon. Just a gentle reminder, if you eat healthier foods you will probably feel better sooner. Go back and read some of your older journals to remind yourself how good it feels to eat right and move. You'll be back to your healthy, happy, un-funked self in no time! Get the bubbly back in your Bubbly Blue Belle self! :)

We've all had those kind of slumps. The hardest part is letting go of the guilt and giving ourselves a free pass to start over. Amryk is right, we do feel physically (and therefore, mentally) better when we eat well and exercise. After just a couple of days of being on track, the fog will lift and you will be back in the game. You can do it!
