Seems I was able to get rid of another 1/2 pound since yesterday but am not understanding why more isn't coming off. It has been rather hot out but I've been trying really hard to drink 8 glasses of water, too. I ate light for each meal yesterday and stuck with a home made trail mix to munch on here and there. Wonder if it's the nuts? But, they are protein so don't know why that would have adverse affects.
We'll see how tomorrow's weigh in goes. Tonight I'll have to miss water aerobics, veggies yuk. Instead, I 'get' to go to a class with my dad to get our food handler's permits. He wants to work at the local fair this year. I was going to but don't think it'll be worth it when I factor in gas and travel time. He still wants me to go with him to the class tonight...so like a good daughter, I will. I will make up for water aerobics Saturday morning. I found out our gym has extended water aerobics to M-Th and Saturday! =)

Nuts are very high in fat, though. =S Some ppl can eat the nuts and get away with a few here and there, but I've noticed that some ppl really have to avoid them. Did you try tracking your calories w/the plate? ;) Also, are the nuts salted? I believe even the natural has a fair amount of sodium, no? Try a day w/out the nuts and go for veggies instead. You're doing great! A half a pound gone is better than a half a pound added! :) xoxo

I really need to get to the store and buy myself some veggies to snack on. I need to be more creative with the veggies, too, to make them sound appealing for snacking. I did start out the day using daily plate, but then missed the rest of the day. UGH! I don't know why it's so hard for me to track my food intake. Some of the nuts, like the pumpkin seeds, have tahini on them?? Not sure what that is. Maybe a soy sauce? I haven't had any nuts today, so we'll see. =)

I believe tahini is as sesame seed paste..? I LOVE the fresh cut red/yellow/orange peppers sliced up to snack on and have in a tub ready to grab and the cucumber spears in the rice vinegar is a cool snack too. I'm not a great veggie eater for snacks, but those are the best for me. :)

Guess I should make the 'trip' to Costco this weekend and set myself up for some good veggie snackin'! =)

I keep hearing about the cucumbers in rice vinegar. I happen to have like 2 HUGE cucumbers just picked that need to be eaten.. I may have to try it, since we've got almost every kind imaginable. Hmm.. you and I both need to start the veggie snacking.. I'm a protein muncher, so I'm in the same boat as you. Lemme know what you figure out is good, and I'll try it too. I'm always up for something new food-wise.

My mom always kept cucumbers sliced into thin round pieces, soaked in white vinegar with a little sour cream mixed in, and sprinkle in a good bit of dill weed (makes a thin creamy sauce). I loved it as a kid and still like to make it while doing SB

Good low fat snack - a non-fat yougurt mixed in the blender with water - it fills you right up and also takes care of hunger right away!
