Wow the past two weeks have not been too great overall. I have been sick the last week. I haven't been cooking or counting my calories. Actually I have been slacking in all ways. I don't like it because it makes me embarassed to admit, and I don't like feeling that. On a positive note though, I did stick to the challenges and vows - no soda, no alcohol, no cigarettes, no sweets, and no eating out.

This no eating out thing was the biggest challenge, being sick (and my husband has been very sick too, btw) the last thing I want to do is cook, but luckily the fridge was pretty well stocked and I cooked a bunch of food just before I got sick, so even during the worst of it, I was able to just eat some leftovers. The only downside is I didn't take lunches with me to work and so I ended up hitting the deli at the grocery store for lunches most of the week, technically not eating out, but not a great plan either. I stuck pretty well to eating mostly soups, fruit, and salads, but some days I would have a panini or some wings. Those weren't the best choices, for certain.

Oh well, you win some you lose some. In any case, because of my non-calorie counting and poor choices during this sick week, my weight is back up. Only 1.5 lbs, which I am sure I can lose again, no problem, but I think it is time I refocus and make being healthy a priority. So from now on, counting calories every day, no exceptions!
