Lucybell33's Journal, 04 April 2008

OK - I know this happened last week, and was swiftly following by a very big drop, so I'm not going to freak out, but I just don't understand how it's actually physically possible gain a whole pound over a couple of days when maintaining a decent calorie deficit!! Grrrrr!

Yesterday was a low cal day, but I spread my scheduled snacks and drinks out over the afternoon (my worst time when I'm working/studying at home) and I got through the day without too much hunger. Dinner was a lovely, quick pork and cashew nut stir-fry.

I did a double Dyna-Band workout yesterday, added the cardio routine to my scheduled toning routine - I think it's starting to become slightly less arduous now!!

Tonight is pizza night, so I'm slightly worried about tomorrow ATW weigh-in. For those of you relatively new to my journals, this is something I introduced back in January for the sake of my supportive, but rather long-suffering (at the hands of by now nine-month long healthy eating obsession) husband - I promised him we could order in pizza on the Friday night closest to each wedding "monthiversary", and tonight's the night for April! I've already pre-planned and pre-ordered, and it should still fit within today's high cal allowance, but I'm still a little concerned about the effects of all that salt. Oh well, the truth will be told tomorrow morning...

Guzzle that water down before and after the pizza! The more I have been paying attention to my daily weight and that of my fatsecret buddies, the more I realize that not only is it indeed possible to gain a pound (or two!) while doing everything right, it should almost be expected once in a while as it is such a common occurance. I think your "monthiversary" (too cute) pizza night is such a lovely idea. And even though you instituted it to reward hubby for his steadfast support, it's good for you to have a treat night too! The extra cardio routine with your Dyna-Band workout will help burn those extra calories and power up your weight loss. Have a fabulous Friday!

Right - I drank a pint of water immediately before, during and then after pizza! I also did a pre-pizza cardio workout - my most energetic salsacise routine - to burn up a few extra calories and boost my metabolism before eating. The pizza was delicious - I had half Cheese & Tomato and half Chicken Feast, which were the lowest possible calorie-wise, and I'm now feeling comfortably full, but not stuffed. I'll let you know if it was worth it tomorrow morning!! ;)
