I have been on this journey for years and I'm hoping this is my last trip uphill. I'll be 39 in a week. I've watched 2 friends my age, have strokes and 2 have heart attacks. Everyone thinks it'll happen to someone else, until it happens to them and I don't want it to be me. Its selfish of me not to be the healthiest me for my daughter. My doctor recommended WLS. but I really believe I can do it on my own.

This time around I'm setting short term goals. I think I overwhelm myself when I set a goal of 50lbs or more. It's feels so far away and unattainable. I'm on Day 4 of a 9 day cleanse. Its getting easier each day. Idk if I've lost as I had my daughter hide the scale from me lol until my cleanse is over.

Due to an injury, I cannot exercise so meal planning is my focus until I can get active again.

Soooooo with all this being said....my goal is to be FABULOUS AT 40! 1 year 9 days to go 😁
293.3 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 31.7 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

You will do this. Inch by inch everything's a cinch. One milestone at a time. The turtle wins the race. I have 70 pounds I want gone. My mom had a heart attack in her 70,s. I am in my early 60s, joints hurt, knee's are not happy, energy's not up to snuff. Two weeks ago I decided once and for all, if it is to be it's up to me. Time to stop making excuses, and just dig in and do this, but support from other's also on this quest is the key I was missing. Finding this site unlocks the journey to success.

Thats brilliant, and I'm sure you'll do it, ive been on and off diets for years bit never really kept to it, this time it's for me. My youngest is off to college and I have a little time to myself. Good luck everyone.

May I ask what 9 day cleanse you are using ? I need to get back on track and was thinking a cleanse would be a good way to start.

Good idea to set shorter goals. It does seem more achievable that way. Nice to see your progress bar changing color sometimes too!
