Sorry you're struggling :( You should try to get excited about it. I know for me, it's consuming my life right now. It has to in the beginning (for me anyway). I try to prepare as much as possible before hand and I'm staying away from the bars/shakes. I'd rather have some celery with whipped cream cheese for a snack. You can do it. Just get psyched about it. We're here for you :)

I am sorry you are having a bad time of it!! its okay though I am feeling the same way lately, but I found the trick is what I tell myself... when i wake up in the morning and I want so badly to have a bowl of cereal or make pancakes... will I feel better if i eat this? and mostly the answer is NO I WONT, i have been very tempted lately with my husband here visiting, he eats all kinds of stuff, but i have noticed that it is truely what i tell myself... make the phrase I CAN DO THIS.. something you say to yourself all the time .. not just your low times.. and not beating yourself up when you do slip... this is a life change, not just a diet and YOU CAN DO THIS!!! this is for YOU!! much love to you!

I have been getting really excited about it, but one of the exciting things for me is finding new recipes on the Atkins website or even on here. Also unlike deelytful, I love the shakes and bars, I look forward to them eachh day as my sweet fix! I either have 2 shakes or 1 bar and 1 shakes, I love them! Ecspecially the Dark Chocolate Royale! You can do this, and just focus on this in little increments, 2weeks at a time or less if you have to. Thats what I do. Good Luck! And Stick With IT! Lean on us!!

I have been struggling too after 9 weeks of induction. Talking to myself has really helped today. I blew it yesterday and not only did I feel guilty, but I was hungry all day not matter how much I ate. I have to remember how good I feel when I'm eating Atkins - full of energy and satisfied. Not been about to walk for over 3 weeks now, so that's wearing on me too. Lord willing, at my appointment on Monday he will tell me I can put some weight on my leg again - then hold on atkins. So tell you self how wonderful you feel and will look eating this way!!!!!

Staying on Induction for too long causes a lot of falling off and issues. It's better to move on to OWL so you have more variety and food choices and don't get bored, and so you have plenty of time to learn how different food affect you - which is the most important thing. The book says you can stay on for an extended period, but experience from others shows that this just isn't helpful. Moving on is.

I stayed on induction for 14 months and had no problems, or did I fall off (well I did eat 3 cookies, a few pieces of fudge at Christmas, but that had nothing to do with induction, rather the fact that I made 38 pounds of fudge and about 100 dozen cookies, lol)...the problem is that when you start eating foods that have a high sugar content, it triggers insulin release and that causes cravings. IF you start to feel bored by all means move on to OWL...AFTER another 2 weeks of clean induction, just make sure you add only one new food a week, to see if it triggers any problems for you. If you don't feel comfortable moving on, or you have lots of weight to lose, you can stay on induction as long as you like. There are a LOT of people on here that have stayed on induction for 6 months or more with no problems at all.

Thank you all so much for being here and the support. I really need this. I will keep looking forward and keep telling my self that I hate how I feel and look right now. I know i can do this and I know it is okay I fell as long as I get back up and try again. Just hate seeing all the hard work I did go backwards. I will try to have more on hand to choice from. Made egg salad today but could not get out of my head how good it taste on bread. I did not have bread but it did make me not like the way it taste and i coul dnot pull my self in to making lettuce wraps ot ay othe veggie with it. I tried to eat it with pork rids used it as a dip and flet sick. lol I just need to found what I can and well eat with out being over tried of it. . Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

In response to another post - I have to agree with Stef. There is no reason why staying on induction will cause cravings. Actually, it's the opposite. The more strict you are in following Induction the less likely you are to cheat. Anytime you go over your carbs, eat sugar, or even sugar free products - you will crave. I would love to pin point the problem but you havne't really been entering your foods. The only reason why you should move up to OWL would be if you dont have much left to lose, you want to work your way through the rungs, or you've stopped losing. However in response to your post. Sorry you are struggling. Go through your first journal entries. Remind yourself why you need to lose weight. Make a list. Pros and cons. I am certain you can find some motivation. If not, send me a PM and I will do what I can to help.

Littlebears, when I have something like tuna or egg salad and I think about how good it would be with bread, I use pork rinds and dip them in the tuna or egg salad....yummo!

That mind set you have at looking in the mirror Little, is what has to change , start loving yourself and it will be easier to stay on because YOU ARE WORTH THIS!! dont hate the fat, accept it ... then kick its ass right out the door!! YOU CAN DO THIS
