Attitude. You don't want to accomplish a few goals. You want to attempt to accomplish all of them. The saying is, "shoot for the moon but fall amongst the stars".

Knowing your goals is the first step in accomplishing them.

I plan to attempt all of them but some are super personal like just not hating myself and my body... it just makes me want to go to extremes like not eating at all which I am fully aware isn't good at all.

Brave you are for saying what we try not. I've been there every other day sometimes. I hope this is not preaching. I live by my daily quotes cause sometimes that's all I got. "Whether we are poets or parents or teachers or artists or gardners, we must start where we are and use what we have. In the process of creation and relationship (even with yourself), what seems mundane and trivial may show itself to be holy, precious, part of a pattern (of loving yourself)." Luci Shaw I added the ( )...Be well. Best wishes

Thank you ALKJ :)I know it should be easy to just make healthy choices in life especially with the knowledge of how the bad food affects the body but fighting food addictions is so tremendously hard. My children have ASD so the ONLY things they are willing/able to eat are not the healthiest. Like boxed macaroni and canned chili... goldfish crackers. I'm constantly fixing separate meals which is extra time consuming and quite frankly exhausting. It is way to easy to just grab up a bag of chips or something to munch on. Not to mention how tasty cake and cookies and things like that are. It truly is an addiction that I have to find the will to fight...

EASY...no! I get it. I was making four different meals. My two kids won't eat the same things (one is chicken nugget freak and the other like buttered noodles come on!) and my husband is the worst (red meat and potatoes and corn, really!). I gave up for a long time and just ate crap I didn't really like or was handy and most of it made me feel terrible, but I felt terrible anyway from all the stress of trying to cater to everyone else. It's tough. The ASD is a whole other level of stress even in the best case scenerios. All three of the other people I am in charge of feeding are super sensitive to smells and I am just put off by the constant comments. Exhausting is a great word! Food addiction is one of the hardest next to sex addiction to fight! We can't just quit cause our body needs food and our body tells us about it when we don't give it what it needs. Then the addiction is "fed" and the cycle continues. Hang in there! Seriously, asking for help is probably the hardest part when we get in the cycle and don't know how to jump off. I finally took myself out of the meal equation and found my own time to eat so I could change my habits and not feel forced or obligated to eat "their" food and not force them to eat mine. I figure at some point we'll reach a happy medium. I am happier and less irritatible about making their meals when I take care of my hunger need first. Sounds selfish, feels selfish, but on the airplane they tell you to put the mask on your face first or you can save anyone else! Power through, find what works for you!

It's hard to feed myself first, my mother always taught me that my children HAVE to eat first no matter how late it was before I get to eat. She is not the idol of perfect health though either so we I have a lot weighing on my shoulders with bad life habits learned/passed down and genetics of a very heavy family. I only barely got to where I have any "free" time so maybe I can prepare healthy snacks in advance to munch while cooking for the kids or post workout... it is unfortunate we have to eat to survive, I was addicted to cigarettes but quit when I got pregnant but didn't need them to live, I can't just quit food no matter how much I want to most days!

I don't know how old your kids are, how about eating after then while they are watching a video or playing alone. The idea being to make for you and actually sitting down and eating it. My kid gets a kick out of my progress. We talk about being healthy and being examples for one another. She is 9, she gets it. We talk about it on a 9 year old level. I am probably 9 most days so it works out! I probably didn't learn at 9 what I needed to help maintain a healthy body. I am relearning and undoing. Keep at it!!

Mine are 3 and 6. Just now I made a drink with my Nutribullet and made my 3 year old one too since he acted like he wanted mine :)
