I feel like I ate a ton of food today! I was reading online that due to my weight and how active I am I should be eating 1350 calories a day. This was also confirmed later in the day form a FS friend. I am going to try this for a couple of days and see if there is any budge in my plateau or if I'm gaining weight because I feel like I ate a ridiculous amount of food today. Hopefully the scale will reflect something good because lately it's just been stuck:/

If you go from eating super low calories to higher calories, you may see a gain. It's always better to start high with calories so as you lose and you need less calories, you can cut them. When you start super low and get stuck, you can't really cut them more. It can take a week or two to get your metabolism going again. You might focus on more lean protein, lean dairy, fruits and veggies. Processed foods contain tons of sodium (anything packaged, frozen, canned) and can inhibit weight loss in some people. Make sure you are drinking water to flush out sodium and keep things moving. Kicking up the exercise can also help move the scale.

hi suzi! Thanks for the advice 4 days a week I am at the gym doing a mile run at 5.5 mph and 10 minutes of walking warm up and 10 of cool down at 3.5 mph. I then do the weight machines for abs, arms, back, chest, legs, etc for 30 to 45 minutes. I then do the bike at level 5 on random for 20 minutes plus a 5 minute cool down. Then I get in the pool and swim a 500 at a moderate pace. I have one day off and 2 days out of the week I do a 30 minute walk after dinner and some stair climbing. As far as eating goes I have been consuming around 1000 to 1200 cals per day but when I eat more I just feel so full all of the time. I ate more today and just feel like I ate too much. Am I going to have to continue to eat this amount and gain weight for a while to be back on track with loosing?

Another thing that I read about and started drinking myself is hot green tea (the bottled cold teas aren't the same I guess). If you drink green tea 3 times a day for a week it begins to kick your metabolism into a higher gear. I really don't care for hot drinks, including green tea, but I add some fresh lemon or a little raw honey and it is actually ok. You have an awesome exercise routine so I'm sure you will see results soon! :)

I wouldn't stuff yourself. As long as you get in 1200 for the day (the minimum you need to get proper nutrition), you should be fine. Having higher and lower days can help the metabolism. Some days our bodies are hungry and others it's not. Kicking up intensity with exercise can help burn more fat. It's hard to say what the body will do because everyone is different. I would keep trying different things to see what helps you. Lean protein and high fiber help us lose fat best and keeps us satiated longer than any food groups. Green tea is supposed to help too.
