Is fish really brain food? What about sugar and caffeine? I started reading about concentration this morning and found this interesting link:

Foods that boost concentration?

My mind is slow this morning because I forgot and took that stupid allergy pill last night - the next morning I always am in a fog with no energy.

Still grateful for:

- The people I love who love me back!
- The good health of my loved ones
- My FS Buddies who support and encourage me to continue
- "Butt-kicking" myself to a smaller size today
- My DH - who is my greatest "cheerleader"
- My Bengal cat companions named Bodhi and Ravi
- My work - which has meaning and worth to other human beings
- My connection to the Mother Earth and its entire splendor
- My physical health

I'll have to go back and read that. There are two allergy meds I can take that don't leave me feeling drained. They are the generics of Clariton (loratadine)and Allegra (fexofenadine). Anything else, like Zyrtec or Benadryl, and i might just as well stay in bed.

Hmmm...thanks BB. I take Zyrtec, so that may be the problem.

I take the generic Zyrtech/Reactine (same drug, different brands), Cetirizine Hydrochloride, and haven't noticed brain fog. I've also taken the generic Claritin (loratidine) without any complications. I tend to swap between the two because I had started out taking one of them and, when I got to the store to buy more, forgot which one it was and ended up buying a different one. Same problem persists every time I buy it! LOL... maybe they DO cause brain fog! Hehehehe. But I think the key is how it works with your body and symptoms. Some people get all the side effects, some people get none. I hope that switching helps you out :)

Fruit at breakfast is great, with some black coffee is fine too, but I know a lot of people try to avoid fruit after the late afternoon. Something about the way our bodies process it. But oh, also, fruit that is lower on the glycemic index...BERRIES! Which are also great for antioxidants.

Thanks for the link. I do not visit you too often these days but it is SO REWARDING to see that you have just 25 pounds to go. How cool is that! Take care with the allergies!

I get fog brained when I take Melatonin. I hate that feeling. Interesting article. :-)
