I have been SOOO horrible and have NOT been exercising...what's wrong with me?! I think I'm lazy. Lol. I have been going to bed late and sleeping in WAY too late and consequently have talked myself out of going and getting any work done. This is the downside of working from home and making your own schedule. I'm really letting my team down and haven't exercised all week. At least tomorrow I have to get out of the house and drive in to Columbia to turn in my timesheet and other work things. My goal is to get up about 6 so I can get a Turbo Jam workout in, I want to leave the house around 7 so I can be at the office at 8:30. Then I'll work a FULL day and do my work there, Sumter and come home. I'll probably work until dark, and although I'll be tired and bored of it at least it will be a good amount of hours. And hopefully that will get me motivated.

Any ideas on how to get motivated again?

You just have to force yorself at first. It's a little painful getting back on track because it feels so much harder, but after a while it will be routine again and the motivation will be the good feeling you get after working out!

Alaina I was feeling the same way today, that is, feeling unmotivated and noticing the downside of making one's own schedule. (not that I am complaining!) But I agree with Karla, that you have to start with the action sometimes. I know you'll be back on track soon! your chart still looks great, even though you feel lazy! :)

Hey, a good cup of coffee or diet soda will fire you up friend! :) You can do it! Just don't think about it!

At the end of my Turbo Jam workout, Chalene says to remember how good you feel after the workout when you need motivation to get started on the days you just don't feel like it. Try focusing on that and maybe it will get you to get back on track for the exercise. As for the working from home, I have no experience in that department but I know I would be the worst employee if I had to set my own schedule! Would it help to have a structured routine and treat it as if you were "going to work"? Like a certain start time, a coffee break time, etc. You'll get it all figured out and then you'll be off to your other job!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! Yes, working from home is definitely hard...I've wasted entire weeks when I've supposedly bought myself time to work from home. Evelyn's idea of pretending you're at work can definitely help. Also, if it helps, go to a coffee-shop, a local library, etc., and get some work done from there, if possible...libraries even have a computer, in case you need one. Regardless, yes, it'll be painful to get started, but just take ONE step---just pop in the dvd, sit on the couch and start watching it, and before you know it, you'll jump up and get into it..! You can do it!!

yay! each day counts! glad you got in your workout tonight...start back up tomorrow again...if it helps, you can look at the main challenge forum for ideas on what others are doing, and that can help put some peer-pressure ;)

Sorry I didn't manage to catch up with you yesterday to provide support - sounds like you managed to get in that workout in the end! Just think of the benefits getting that exercise in brings - you burn more calories (so you can eat more!), you boost your metabolism (so you can eat even more!!), you'll be toning those muscles (so will look even slimmer) and, best of all, you'll be earning your ATW team lots of points!! Hope you have a great day today! GO TRAILBLAZERS!!!
