I was skinny all my life and took it for granted until 5 years ago (at 25). At that point I started to gain weight during an illness and various subsequent factors mostly related to stress, working too much, and misguided attempts to lose weight caused me to gain weight. A lot of weight. Just getting rid of the causes has not made the weight go away. I've wasted too much time trying to follow the advice of others when my body has been trying to tell me what it needs. Now I am trying to listen to it... I'm still figuring out exactly what the right balance for me is. Basically I'm trying to eat very natural, organic, healthy, whole, local foods. Drinking plenty of water and exercising every day-- cardio, strength training, and stretching.
