HCB's Journal, 20 July 2012

Today is one of those days when my appetite is really low and I struggle to eat enough calories. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes I just don't feel like eating.

I know how important it is to keep the calories up so my body doesn't try to conserve fat rather than burn fat. Hopefully, tomorrow, I will get back to my usual routine. And, I plan to get back on the bike trail this weekend, too,in addition to the circuit training videos.

I think if your calories balance out for the week one low day just means if you feel like it later in the week you could have a spike day.

OH - FOL, that is a great idea. I seldom look at the weekly total - but that makes sense.

Feast or famine is how many of us are! Yes it is so I'm told that keeping your caloric intake even. However I strongly believe that every once in awhile we need to listen to our bodies. In my opinion the days we don't feel like actually eating we have to increase our fluid intake. Good luck with the bike, and be careful on the trail!!!

it seems you're "not hungry" alot. if it's really not an intentional thing - like you're purposely trying to restrict to a level of undereating thinking it will speed weight loss - perhaps you should look into other causes. Search for underlying health issues that suppress appetite.

Enjoy those not hungry days! I agree with fatoldlady that you will probably balance it out somewhere else in the week or maybe it's time to drop your RDI.

My RDI is fine - and I have hypothyroid - one of the symptoms is low appetite. So, I have days when I push myself to eat enough.
