Butterfly30's Journal, 13 October 2009

Okay so I am going to be completely honest with myself and all of you. This has been bugging me for a while now. I am burned out and tired of the routine. I am not in the mood to workout. Although I should be doing so, I just don't have the energy right now.

Please don't worry! I still care about my health and want to loose the weight yet; I am not feeling 100%. I am exhausted. I am not giving up nor am I walking away. It just seems that everything in my life has become all about my weight and how much I am loosing and what I am not loosing! I am frustrated! I don't like people looking at me as the FAT girl nor do I want people to just see that about me. I do care about my health; however, everyday it has become a vicious cycle of how thin I need to be and how pretty I would be if I lost a certain amount of weight. So burn-out is the word!!! Inundated is how I feel, bogged down and overwhelmed. I want to be the best that I can be. But I don't want to be judge for not doing it at someone else’s pace.

The Frustrated Butterfly~

((((HUGS)))) Oh honey, I am so sorry you are feeling this way. I know how you feel, I was there not too long ago. You just take your time, do what you need to do for you and then come back when you are ready. Burnout is very common, so don't be so hard on yourself, you can do this-when you are ready. This journey can be consuming and overwhelming, I know, we all do, so just take care of you. We are here right now and for as long as you need us...

While I realize that this is quite serious I wanted to a little light hearted. One the one hand if taking a step and reassesing what is the real reasons on why you want to be healthier via diet and exercise, then your doing what is best for you. But remember when you do come back the work needed to get results you want will have to be done and I will be here to encourage you along the way. This kinda stinks also cause I'm going to be down one puma but that's okay you won't be gone for too long.

You are NOT saying that you are giving up or walking away and that's a GOOD thing. Until your gym buddy gets back, just try to concentrate on your eating plan, and take it ONE DAY AT A TIME! Write your eating plan out on paper if you think it might help. It's easy to get frustrated when you look at the long haul. It gets overwhelming. I know this from experience! LOL. It has taken me almost TWO YEARS to lose 30 lbs. Take baby steps. Set your goal at losing just 5 lbs. Then when you reach that you can go for another 5 lbs. My goal is to try to lose one lb. per week. I used to look at the total weight I wanted to lose and become so frustrated that I would get off track and find it hard to get back. Also, I only weigh myself ONCE per week because I got too frustrated seeing the ups and downs of every day weighing in and would just blow it. Some people can do this but I can't. Try not to push yourself TOO much with the exercise either. Give yourself realistic mini goals to achieve........something that you know you can keep up with.....even if it's walking around the block for 15 minutes every day or even every other day. I have faith in you Girlfriend. I agree that you should do this at your own pace. Don't know who is trying to set your pace for you, but you must do what YOU can do not what someone else wants you to do. Keep your chin up! Love ya! ((((HUGS))))

FIRST OF ALL: You are GORGEOUS. Not "despite the fat," or "in the face," but ALL OVER. Really, you are quite blessed. SECOND, me and everyone else here understands how you can get sick of this journey. I am following my diet right now and exercising but I have given the scale a boot until he BEHAVES and shows me the result I want, haha. Sweetie, hold on, the motivation will come back. Meanwhile, find time to nurture yourself and replenish your energy. Your determination will return. No one wants to see a butterfly feeling sad and gloomy on the forest floor. Soon, very soon, your wings will take flight again. <---HUG--->

@ All of you! I am so appreciative of all your wonderful support. I truly have been frustrated; however, today is a new day! I am going to take all of your advice (which was excellent) and apply it...This is for the long haul and sometimes for me it is a burden to carry all ups and downs of this weight struggle. I am going to take it one day at a time! Thank you lovies...
