nb girl's Journal, 14 August 2014

Am really loving this high fat way of eating. Except for my left knee which has decided, for the last two days, to become weak in the mornings for some reason, I can honestly say that I don't have a single ache or pain. My joints somehow feel loose and easy, even the skin on my heals are real supple, which is shocking for someone who spends her days barefoot! Lol

I can't find an outlet where I live (in Spain) for coconut oil, so I've been splashing the olive oil.

Olive oil I've discovered naturally contains 'ofoleocanthal' which is the anti inflammatory that is in ibuprofen. Could this be a reason why my joints feel so great?

The biggest reward I'm getting is that the diet is working.

Good luck everyone x

The skin is one of the biggest beneficiaries of this way of eating. Enjoy it! You will have the best skin of your life! Hope the knee gets better.

Great job on your sticking to your diet. We are going to do it together. Sorry you were not able to find coconut oil there, can you order it online from Amazon like Osteopam said? That is where I get all my nutritional products.

Low carb and High fat got me to my goal of 145 and now I weigh between 140 to 142, fluctuates, but that's fine as I just eat healthy now and am rarely hungry. I do eat small meals, but often to keep my blood sugar in check. No problem in maintaining my weight. It's wonderful how well it is working.

I think the coconut oil is highly overrated for me personally. I use it but infrequently. If I use it very much I quit losing. I use olive oil and butter much more and lose when I do. My aches and pains have also gone away except for my knee. LOL I have a knee that I get steriod shots in but all in all am thrilled that I do not suffer with aches every day and night like I was. Congrats on your success!
