Day 3 of being on track again! So far so good, the scale even showed a loss this morning. Hubby and I went and voted this morning to beat the crowds…then worked at home for an hour, then headed into work (wish the commute was like that everyday!)

This past weekend turned out to be a lot of fun! It was lined up to be a very low key, relaxing weekend (as we have been on a whirlwind for about 3 weeks now)….but as luck would have it, it turned out completely opposite of what we planned. We received company tickets to the Celtics game on Friday, which was highly entertaining as many of the fans were dressed up in their Halloween attire! One man wore this head to toe green spandex thing that even covered his face! Was freaky…but hysterical to watch him dancing…while at the same time didn't leave any imagination to his…well…you know. Then on Saturday I received a call from my boss who told me her teenage children announced to them that seeing the play, "Legally Blonde", just wasn't cool enough for them, and asked us to go instead. That was a GREAT play, definitely a lot of fun….and even my husband loved it. Maybe that’s just what I needed to help get myself out of this funk, and get back on track…because on Sunday that’s exactly what I did.

We are really looking forward to this weekend, as all of hubby's buddies from waaaaay back (some as far back as knowing since grade school) all get together with their families for a Pre-Thanksgiving meal. Its always great food and fun, and everyone gets along fantastically, so it’s a nice extended family. =) It will be challenging staying away from the Apple Crisp….and homemade stuffing….but I think I'm going to give into the fact that I'm going to have some…I just need to have a 1/4 of what I would normally scoop up on my plate! Luckily Gbags and Balance will be there to help me keep on track as well!

Those of you that know me with the fertility issues….still nothing on that front right now….still waiting…and waiting…and waiting. 3 months of waiting now, but hopefully we'll get to have our next round of testing done next week. Finally…than can move forward with the donor egg process.

Have a great Tuesday!

=)

Need the next round of bloodwork, but couldn't do that until "aunt flo" came to visit, which has been over 3 months now. Soooo had to have it medically induced, and are waiting another week...and I should be good to go. Then...the charts go in for review with the doctor, then to the insurance company, then if we get approved, thats when I can start looking at donors. They don't want you looking because they don't want you to have your heart set on someone, only to learn that someone else has snatched them up for their donor egg cycle. The whole process can make your head burst...plus, all the meds just dont make you feel like you are yourself...sucked big time being on them. But...my last round for this time stopped yesterday....so today I'm already starting to feel back to my old self. =) Keep your fingers and toes crossed...so we can at least move on to our next step! =)

Sounds like you had a great time and that you are thinking ahead and planning your Pre-Thanksgiving meal allowance. Great job and so wonderful that you are doing it together (you and gbags). Hope things go well with your donor/egg/cycle stuff too and that you get to choose your donor soon

Good luck with the testing, I hope everything works out for you two! I agree with cindyshine...good things come to those who wait, and I am sure that you will both make awesome parents. Those eggs should be fighting over you two =)
