My name is Terri and live in Texas with my son, Dylan, and dog, Zero. I am a personal trainer and run Fit Chick Boot Camp. I love helping people reach their fitness goals but what I love even more is helping people realize they are stronger than they give themselves credit for (both mentally and physically!)

I wasn’t always “into” fitness and after having gaining weight in college I realized I needed to change my eating habits and add exercise into my daily life. I found Beachbody and Turbo Jam and it literally changed my life. I became a Turbo Kick instructor and taught classes for about 2 years.

I realized then that I LOVED motivating and helping people become stronger. I loved seeing the changes in my students, seeing their confidence rise and their pants size shrink!
It was this epiphany that made me make the jump to become a personal trainer and start my own business. It was the best decision I have ever made!

I am motivated and inspired daily by the people that I train and have met on this journey and I feel blessed each and every day!

Hey everyone I'm Jessica!
I would agree with the above posts...great adice!

I would also make sure you drink plenty of water. A lot of times are bodies confuse hunger for thirs so make sure to stay hydrated.
Also, my biggest tip with exercise is to schedule your workouts and be specific. If you say 'I will work out later", well, "later" never seems to happen...lol
Last, plan, plan, plan! Plan your meals in advance and if you can cook things ahead of time so you can just grab and go when you are busy, even better!
Good luck and know that this is a process so be patient, stay strong and you CAN DO THIS!!!! Smile

A New Me!!!
Good for you! It's amazing how working out and eating right improves every aspect of our lives. You sleep better, you have more energy, you are in a better mood, you are a better spouse / mom / employee.....it makes a HUGE difference.
Way to go and keep it up!! Smile

49, Weight Watchers, 1 hr a day on the eliptical and I'm not losing!
Glad you finally saw it on the scale...Smile
Just curious...have you measured yourself and if so have you lost any inches? Sometimes the scale can stay the same but you will be losing inches so make sure to go by how you feel, how your clothes are fitting, if your energy has improved, if you are sleeping better, etc and try not to get too hung up on the scale. Good luck and I have no doubt you WILL succeed! Smile

I need to make more of an effort...
You CAN do this! YOu have the right attitude of thinking positive! A couple of things that help me...
Schedule your workouts and make them just as important as brushing your teeth everyday. I know when I don't schedule it and just say "I will work out later" "later" hardly ever really happens...something always comes up!
Also, on the weekends prepare and portion some food for the week so that you don't have to think about it so much during the busy week..you can just "grab and go"
You GOT this!!!! Smile
