Doing penance this evening. Sat on edge in our Superior Court for jury selection. Was so pleased that they didn't pick me. Went out to eat w/hubby to celebrate that the rest of the week was free and clear of the judicial system. They summoned me for 2 separate trials, being part of a jury pool. I tried so hard to get excused, but they only postponed it twice instead. It was just putting off the inevitable. Luckily, my husband and I generally split dishes to automatically cut calorie content of specific meals. We also skip the alcohol, excess bread, and soda. I did splurge on one scoop of cold stone creamery in a waffle cone.
My calorie expenditure is over 5,000 calories for today, giving a large net calorie loss anyway.

Very pleased with my new weights program. Can see visible reduction in loose underarm skin as well as tighter, well-defined hips (have always had athletic calves and thin ankles due to swimming as a child). I spoke with a personal trainer, who showed me specific exercises to tighten trouble spots. Can also feel stomach muscles tightening due to daily planks and other ab exercises. Would be great to be completely buff by age 50.

Checked measurements this morning. Was very pleased to see that I'd lost a couple of inches here and there.

Very pleased today! Hoping to lose another 5 lbs before I see my doc on 8/19. BS was 144. Reverted back to eating whole grain bread, yogurt, and light cheeses. Due to a sinus infection, have had to take 2-3 units of insulin with my metformin as well as some herbs with each meal.
