Goal Weight

I'm 44, married and have two kids - one boy , one girl. I'm a nursing assistant in a Sexual Health clinic.
I love dancing, reading, drawing, walking, gardening and sleeping in my spare time - cos I don't get much sleep usually! And I've now discovered I love swimming and geocaching too, so I'm getting even less chance for a little extra sleep now and I'm permanantly knackered!

I lost a lot of weight in 2010, but then had an accident and an operation which nearly killed me, so I couldn't be as active as I used to be for quite a while, so I piled the weight back on again. I dieted in 2012 - just a low cal, low fat, sensible eating and more activity sort of diet - and got down to my goal weight of 9st (126lbs) - but I gradually put it all back on again and after Christmas 2014, I weighed 11stone 1lb (155lbs). I've been dieting and exercising more since the New Year and have managed so far to get down to 9stone 5.5lbs(131.5lbs)
I hope to lose those last few pounds for a goal weight of 9stone(126lbs) before the 27th June 2015, as I'm having a BBQ for my birthday and hope to get in my favourite pair of jeans that day!
I'm also working on being much fitter by 11th July 2015, when I'm doing a sponsored charity 26 mile walk for MacMillan Cancer Care. I am busy in training for that atm.

The challenge
Glad you're looking forward to it Debbily - so am I! I will be very encouraging, but also very tough on everybody, including myself, so that we get good results. Good luck! Smile

Any one else need to lose the equivalent of another human being?
No I don't, fortunately...but WOW! You have done soooooo well. How long has it taken you? And I spose you are now determined to keep that weight off for good! It's so lovely to hear of other people's successes and it's really encouraging...esp as being a 'nurse' in a Cardiac ward, I know the difference losing that much weight can make. Congrats! Smile
