Yummy..just wanted to share
Registered dietitian Lauren Minchen recommends using paprika not only to flavor this healthy snack, but also to boost your metabolism, reduce your appetite, and lower your blood pressure. Cut a zucchini into thin slices and toss in 1 Tbsp olive oil, sea salt, and pepper. Sprinkle with paprika and bake at 450°F for 25 to 30 minutes.

Truth be told
Well I hate to admit it..even now..One day I was battling the devil about going to Church one cold January Sunday morning...and everyone knows it's been cold...but I stepped on the scale that same morning, just for the heck of it, don't even know why, since that was before this journey started.. .still fighting the urge to jump back into my warm bed...but when that scale screamed 165..my heart stopped...I was in shock.
Seriously, I had know ideal or maybe I just didn't care at the time. So I did it again with the same shocking results. That...was my turning point. I overcame my battle..got dressed and went to Church. I wasn't even upset anymore about my weight gain. Honestly, 165 was the most I have ever weighed in my life. But God snatched me back..gave me a real wake up call before it got worse. Anyway. .after that I have been losing weight since that day. Slowly...still hard as heck...but still losing. Today, 151 and still coming down. Thank you, Jesus. Not sure what was down that road. But you saved me yet again.

Unkind remarks
Thanks, Saratyler! Being able to share this with people who understand is amazing. Plus, it kept me from wanting to deck her. LOL! Thanks again for the words of encouragement, and good luck on your own journey.

Unkind remarks
My weight journey has not been easy, and when I happened to mention to what I considered a "friend" that I feel as if I had lost weight because my clothes feel looser, her remark was "Your just not putting your pants in the dryer anymore" and then she laughed. I played it off but the whole time I was thinking, how rude and unkind. People and their thoughtless remarks...unbelievable!!
