At only 5'0", I don't have anywhere to hide the extra weight. And I'm tired of feeling like crap. Being fat makes me cranky and short tempered and my family doesn't deserve to suffer for my lack of self control. I've never been skinny, generally around 120-125 lbs (until I started having children...keeping an extra 10lbs after EACH pregnancy). Recently turning 30 yrs old, I'm not feeling or looking even remotely as well as I'd hoped for this stage in my life.

Time won't wait, I need to gain control of my health...for my kids sake. I want to have energy and self confidence so that my boys will grow to be strong and healthy!(looking better would also be a significant benefit since I don't even fit my fat pants right now).

I also want to be a motivation to the rest of my family. My Mom stuggles to keep the weight off, but she works hard, and I know she can do it (and she'll keep me focused). My brother and Dad are struggling seriously with obesity, and I don't know how to help. I want them to feel well so that their lives aren't cut short. If I can do anything to help them even consider taking a daily walk, or a better food choice, then that alone makes my stuggle seem insignificant. It breaks my heart to see them slowly killing themselves.

Biggest Loser Couples
I love the show too, I get so emotionally involved, even my 3 yr old was cheering (You can do it!).
I was disappointed to see the green team go home...Lynn sounded and acted just like my Dad. It was really sad for me. I hoped Lynn would make it to the end (giving my Dad someone he could relate to and be motivated by). But I guess I'd have to get my Dad interested in watching first, and with the same attitude as Lynn, I don't know how to make that happen.Sad

Diet Pills....
I used to take 5-HTP to help with mild depression, it helped me sleep better, put me in a more positive frame of mind, I delt with stress better and an added side effect is that it curbed carb cravings if I took in the early afternoon (when my will power is weak). Not all brands work for me...I really liked the Nature's Bounty, I think that was what it's call...used to be at Kroger. The purple boxed one at Wal Mart never made a difference.
The reason this pill worked for me so well is that I naturally have a horrible hormonal imbalance, this seems to balance out the seratonin in my system. This was recommended to my by my Chiropractor, he is a highly qualified healthcare professional and has taken over 300 hours in nutritional training.
Just something else to consider. Know your risks, make the best informed decision for you.
