I am 44 years old, married, two children. My daughter is 25 and has a baby girl of her own now, Emily, who is 3, and a son who is 7 months old. My son is 17. I live in Branson, Missouri. I am the manager of the Eatery Express restaurant for our Kmart here. So, I am employed by Sears Holdings. No, I do not eat the food there! It is all either deep fried or full of fat. I am 5 feet 0 inches tall, so being as overweight as I was and as unhealthy as I was is the reason for joining Fat Secret. A 7-day hospital stay with Acute Pancreatitis was my wake up call. I am no longer malnourished and feel better than I have felt most of my life. I have changed the way I eat drastically and am reaping the rewards in weight loss and improved health. When I found Fat Secret, I had already lost weight, but since I wasn't recording my weight or weighing on a regular basis, I don't know where I really started. It was likely around 180 or 185. I just know I have gone from size 18 to size 10 in a relatively short amount of time because of my illness, and now I am maintaining this way of eating simply for the health benefits, it suits me. I have always struggled with my weight and ended up with anorexia for some time. Getting pregnant with my son when I did is truly what saved my life. I used to see food as the enemy. Now I don't!

14 days are Up
No, I did not experience that. Maybe others have. But I wonder if maybe it's toxins coming out? Maybe your body purging bad stuff? I don't know.....

First day
I gave that a go for 8 days. I did not feel well at all the entire time. I ate the yogurt and the cottage cheese and the low fat proteins. I became very bloated (not from constipation) and my eyes burned and my face became very puffy. Too much dairy for me. I was really hoping it would work for me, but I didn't lose not one pound in those 8 days. I don't know why it didn't work, other than perhaps I have a bit of a dairy intolerance. I never did eat much to begin with.

Vitamins?
I take Women's Ultra Mega from GNC. It doesn't say how many carbs there are in them. They have a coating on them made with sucralose. I do count 1 carb per vitamin just to be on the safe side. What do you think about that?

How many fat grams per day allowed while dieting?
Having had acute pancreatitis, I had to stay on 20 grams of fat or lower per day for a while, and lost 50 pounds doing it, but it is definitely not easy as I was also needing good proteins. I learned to cook chicken breast meat without drying it out, and learned to live without butter, mayo, and all kinds of fatty foods. I have also learned how to make lots of different soups using beans, and have eaten my own weight in long grain brown rice many times. Beans and Rice in combination are often considered nature's "perfect protein" if that helps. Choose white meat chicken that hasn't been injected with anything, and that keeps the fat content very low. I use Smart Chicken. Even Tyson's "All Natural" chicken is still injected with up to 15% of a solution (they can claim Natural because it is salt and seaweed) to add weight, so I steer clear of it. It just adds sodium which adds water weight. Alot of the inexpensive chicken breast meat that contains that "15% solution" has vegetable oil in it which doubles the fat content unnaturally.

Anyway, it can be done, because I did it, but it's not easy. You really have to plan your meals and be very diligent in your measurements and recording on FS. And the Good fats that rubykate mentioned are absolutely essential for your body to function. So just educate yourself and you'll do it! I have faith in you!
