Hello world!

I am 20, 5'3, and self described as a punk hippie vegan boy-girl. I like art, cooking, air rifle, and traveling. My home base is San Francisco, but I spent the last year in China and France. I speak three languages. My French is almost fluent, but my Chinese is dismal.

I am on fatsecret cause I'm fat, and I don't want to be fat anymore. I started my mission to lose weight in July 2009 at about 210 lbs. My ultimate goal is to get 15% body fat in my healthy weight range of 104-141 lbs.

I became a vegan at the end of May 2010 for health reasons; I have a digestive disorder. I made a lot of mistakes, but I think I finally got a hold of this whole vegan thing. I love being vegan, and try to educate people that being a vegan doesn't mean you are creepy, hungry all the time, or an ass.

On a last note, I love fatsecret. It is instrumental in my weight loss. I recommended it to everyone I know, and some I don't.

Does anyone think that they will ever 'go off' their diet?
I'm going to be counting forever, even if it is just writing down the numbers in a pocket book. The last time I stopped counting calories I stopped caring about what I ate as well. Calories remind me that I need to eat a certain way to maintain this weight. I might start guesstimating more though, and not actually weigh every ingredient when I cook dinner.

Meal-Replacement Bars
My favorite are cliff bar builder's bars. They are like candy bars with protein. If you have a trader joe's by you, they have prepackaged Indian meals and dried bean soups which might be another option. The spiced chickpeas is good unheated, and the packaging is flat. Just pack a plastic spork. These all cleared customs multiple times.

If you want natural, larabars are just fruit and nuts. You could also just bring a bag of unsalted nuts.
