Start Weight
251.5 lb
Lost so far: 30.5 lb

Current Weight
221.0 lb
Performance: losing 0.2 lb a week

Goal Weight
135.0 lb
Still to go: 86.0 lb
At 63 and nearing retirement, I need to get down to my goal (and stay there) if I want to live the fairly active life style I want at retirement.

I just started Diet Doctor, I've had good success with Atkins in the past, but DD gives you more structure. A weekly shopping list and seven daily recipes take away any guess work.

My goals are going to be mostly centered around clothing sizes. Each time I go down a size, I will be doing a dance! I have five sizes of clothes waiting for me. Currently wearing 1X and 18's, I've got size 12's at the back of the closet that I haven't worn in 15 years. I think they are still stylish as I don't follow the fads too closely, although I did purge all my flare legged pants a couple of years ago.

Stuck at never losing weight- Atkins
Are you exercising? Whenever on any ketogenic diet, one way to increase/restart weight loss is to STOP exercising! Your body is confused, being on low carbs (which are required for instant energy) and exercising. Exercising while on a low carb diet can cause you to lose muscle mass, the very thing ketogenic diets are good for.

You mention how well you are feeling otherwise. This is a good indicator that you are doing the right thing. Once you obtain your goal weight, you should stick to a low carb lifestyle, you'll just be able to add a bit more food to stop the weight loss.

Good luck with your weight loss journey!

PS. I have stopped drinking any form of caffeine and have found that makes quite a difference for me!
