I am a 47 yr old midwestern girl. Raised on a farm in Northeast Nebraska and have been living in Colorado for the last 17 years. I have 3 adult kids, a domestic partner of 20 years, and an often wonderful Cymric Manx cat named Sophie. I currently work as a DUI counselor in a cutting edge Integrated Treatment Court in Boulder, CO.
I have tons of hobbies and am currently obsessing on quilting. :)

Starting Again
I am back at it yet again myself...I had lost almost 40 of my 100 lbs then had a heart attack, found out my thyroid is dead, had uterine cancer and a hysterectomy (all in the first 3 months of 2011)and have just been recouperating for the last year...oh, and bought a house and moved in the first 3 months of this year. I haven't ever completely stopped making better choices but it sure snuck back up on me. Now frustrated with trying to figure out what I am supposed to eat, since my endochrinologist and cardiologist say that my metabolism is way too efficient and that I don't process carbs right. *SIGH* BUT here I am again and getting serious again. We can do this! Smile

I had been back at 292 three months ago...lost 10 lbs but stupid clothes fit wrong...arrgh! oh well at least it is moving in the right direction! :)
