Hello, I will be 50 in April and I'm sick of being fat and definitely don't won't to be 50 and fat. I can't do anything about about my age but I can control my size so I am determined to lose the weight and love myself more. I am married to a great man who loves me the way I am but we have been terrible for each other in regards to our eating. We both love it and enjoy doing it together so we are going to have to support each other to get through this. I also have 3 boys, my youngest is 10. I work for my school system in Special Education and this year Ive gotten on board with their yearly shrink down. This is going to help me jumpstart the new year. FIT FOR 50

Let me tell you what disappointment is
So at my work we are doing a shrink down similar to Biggest Loser. It was to start last week but we were snowed in and missed days at work due to closures. During the week though I did really well and lost 2 pounds. I figured the scales at work would be different because they are doctors scales but REALLY? I weighed 8 pounds more today on their scales than I do on my scales. So I guess I go with their scales which really bummed me out. I have got the eating thing down, I think I need to incorporate more exercise. I should be dropping weight . I don't know what's going on.

Victory!
YAY for you!!! Wow I can't wait until I can do that. I wear 16's now and can't wait to be a true 14. I was always a size 10 even after 2 of my children I got back to size 10 but with my 3rd son I just never really tried that hard. I just avoid pictures and glancing at myself in the mirror because I hate what I see. I'm going to get there though...just chugging along.

I'm 49 and in April I turn the big 50. I am 5'7" tall and weigh 210. This is the heaviest I have ever been and have struggled through the years with dieting. It seems it has gotten so difficult to stick with a plan but this time I am determined more than ever that this year is the year. I want to be FIT FOR FIFTY. I'm putting that all over my house to try and stay focused. I'm married to a man who loves to eat also and he also is overweight. I am hoping we can help each other but when it comes to eating we are horrible for each other so I need some buddies. I also have 3 boys, my youngest is 10. If you are a good motivator and would like to help keep me on track I would love to have your support. Thanks!
