I started calorie counting (thanks to Fatsecret) in summer 2013 - I managed to loose a good chunk of weight that year and was really pleased with the results. I haven't quite got down to my goal weight though.

I was back in 2015 because i'd put nearly half of the weight I'd lost back on! I managed to loose what I'd put back on then gradually stopped calorie counting, early 2017 I was back again but didn't stick with it for very long.

Although I have managed to keep my weight down I really would like to get closer to my goal weigh this year (2018), the problem is I seem to hit a plateau then give up!

The only thing that seems to work for me is counting my intake, I have recently got a step counter, and hope to start exercising a bit more. On an average day I do 6 - 8 thousand steps but I want to get this up to 10,000, its really hard when you come home from work and have tea to cook and housework to do though!

I live in North Wales (UK). I'm am mum of three teenagers and in my late 40's.

Thanks for your comments guys - I have eaten salads for nearly every lunch over the past two weeks & before I did eat salad but not as much as I should have!!

I'll need t come up with some healthy luch options - i'm trying not to eat much bread either!

Hi - I'm quite a newbie at this dieting - started two weeks ago tomorrow.
I only had a salad for lunch today (although it was in a cafe) so larger than my ones at home.............. I've got a really bloaty gurgley tummy feeling..............I ate the salad over 4 hours ago - does anyone have a suggestions why or even better any cures?

Am i eating too much salad? Is that even possible?!
Should I just have a light snack for tea tonight?

Many thanks for anyone who can make suggestions!

I think Sasha-Anne is right - you don't really need to loose any weight just when your at the gym next get some advise on exercises that can flatten your tummy.
You've done the right thing cutting down on fast foods so just eat healthy but eat well.

Sharing my Weight etc
I'm new on the site - it seems to be saying I'm not sharing my weight - not sure if my journal entries are being shared or not - I've gone into the profile page and it says I'm sharing with everyone...............has anyone else had this problem - does anyone know how I can fix it?
