Ok, so I achieved my goal. My blood sugar is now borderline and I don't have to take insulin. The Doctor suggested that I lose another 10 pounds. So here we go again. Seems as though the Doctor always asks for more. LOL. I can do this. Eating healthy isn't a chore anymore. It's become a way of life. I don't mind it.

Anytime I can lose 3 pounds within 2 weeks, that's a wonderful weigh in. Dieting is no longer a chore for me, but rather a way of life. I enjoy eating the thins that I'm still allowed to have. I don't eat nearly as much as I once did, but yet, I'm not hungry between meals.

Ok, so I only lost 1/2 pound in 2 weeks. I didn't change anything or eat things that I wasn't suppose to. I'm not sure why I can lose 1 pound a week and other times only 1/2 pound in 2 weeks. But it is what it is. I'm getting closer to my goal. After I reach that goal, I will continue to diet and lose more weight. I'd like to get down to 225. All of my friends are impressed with my new look. That's all well and good. It's more important of what I think about myself. I can fit into clothing that I haven't been able to fit in and I am happy with my weight loss. I'm 6' 3" tall so even at 235 pounds, I don't look heavy. I've noticed that my blood sugar goes down with each pound that I lose. That's real good. Providing that I maintain the lower weight, I will avoid being put on insulin. YAY ME!

I'm getting close to losing the pounds that the Doctor wanted me too. I'm going to try to go a little further than that though. I'd like to lose additional weight and drop down another pants waist size. Dieting hasn't been a real chore for me. More or less a change of eating habits. Things I stopped eating are: Potato's, Pasta, Candy, snacks, and Ice Cream. Things that I'm eating more of: Chicken, Fish, Turkey, Salads, nuts, and lots of fresh vegetables. I've been doing more cooking on the grill than I have ever done. The grill seems to make most anything very tasty.

This has been a difficult month for me. I am blessed that my sister who is a registered nurse provided so much support. She has shown me the foods that I can eat and the food that I shouldn't eat. And that has helped me tremendously. I'm also blessed, that this forum allows me to track my weight loss. I appreciate everyone's support. Peace out.
