Start Weight

Lost so far: 1.3 lb

Current Weight
168.3 lb
Performance: losing 6.3 lb a week

Goal Weight
125.0 lb
Still to go: 43.3 lb
Despite habitually being active for years found a change in lifestye meant 30lbs crept on rather sneakily. Now just trying to reset my schedule back to healthfulness and fitness.

My weakness is pasta and wine. I'm not too bad on sweet treats.
I try to keep my carb loading under 25% with a higher emphasis on plant intakes and proteins. Tend towards clean eating, with a preference for whole foods/ home cooking.

I'm around my goal weight now, but the waist isn't quite down to where I want to go. So for that, I will get back into the gym and lift for tone.

New statistics:

35' 25.5' 36' and weighing in at around 124/128 lbs @ 5'10''

Ideal is 35' 24' 37', so I will try junk up a bit? Any tips welcome :-)

I am now close to my motivational photo in my profile when I was 135lbs .. and its only taken 2 yrs to do it!! I was drifting up and down between 140-155lbs for forever. I think that's my natural reset which was tremendously difficult to pass.

Walking
IF you can't manage a long walk yet, make time to put 3-4 shorter walks into your day of 15-20 minutes... that way you will increase your stamina and fitness more quickly to manage longer walks. Plus psychologically you are putting very little stress on your self and your motivation by keeping them short! Which will help you get them done.

Walking is fantastic, once you are regularly out a couple of times every day.. you will improve dramatically over just a couple of weeks. So that you will much more able to do long walks in no time. And the absolute best thing for a bad back is walking, the movement will soothe and improve and the weight loss will assist that too from the exercise.

Keep with it. Once you manage 15/20 easily up it to 25 and 30 etc. Its a pretty quick process once you keep at it every day Smile

what is your goal weight, 5'3 and 5'4 ladies?
Hi, this is great to see everyones targets with heights etc.

I'm 5'10" . I was very happy and energetic at 132lbs about 14 months ago. THen I got out of routine for a number of reasons. And slipped up badly before really realising. Was horrified to 30lbs went on in a year. I am finding it quite difficult to get down beyond the mid 140s and this really hasn't happened me before. I am honestly very conservative on my intakes and don't overeat. So its surprising me as I'm around this plateau about 3 months. But I'm keeping at it!!

EXERCISE QUESTION
Here's my two cents. I notice when i run and enter that on FS - FS reduces my calorific on the rest segment. So, as I was trying to figure out the over pay by FS for the exercise, I realise that FS appears include your stationary expenditure with your exercise component. If you're burning 500 cal an hour by running i.e. physical exertion is arguably the only record a treadmill can make not other physiological functions... are you then also burning 100 cal for base function, does that get us to the differential? Hmm .. it's a quirk but I think FS includes compensation for base function.
