Even with being out of town this weekend and eating fast food I seem to have had a drop. I have been trying to watch it and kind of keeping track of my WW points. I'm finally over being sick (for the most part), so I have dance tonight and I'm going to try and get to the gym for Step/Pump in the am and Zumba tomorrow night.

Went to Florida this past weekend and visited my friend. It is a 6 hour trip there, so we left Friday night and got down there, then just hung out Saturday around Gainesville. Went over to Silver Springs State Park and hiked there for awhile.

How do you convince a man he should go to the gym? Greg just doesn't "like the gym". Wish he had told me that before I signed him up for my discount through work! It'd be different if he was doing something at home, but he's not and he does know he needs to lose some weight and get in shape. I especially think he needs to because this summer he'll be at the Boy Scout camp for a couple months and doing things on the water - meaning bathing suit. I wonder what would inspire him to start working out - a contest with each other? A reward? Any suggestions?

My hubby didn't want to do any sort of workout until I started and had been trying to eat better and working out for about 3 weeks. Then, he decided he wanted to do something. We aren't gym people, but I do DVD's and my hubby runs. Maybe it will just take some time for Greg to decide he wants to be healthy like you. Or, he may just not be there yet, we all come to the decision to be healthy in our own time and we can't be pushed into it. Don't make his weight loss be about him looking good in a swimsuit, make it because you want him around to be healthy for years to come. Good luck!

Thanks for the comments! I'm not making it about him looking good in a bathing suit, but that is one aspect of it. I've mentioned things about getting healthy now and NOT made it about looking good as much as being healthy. He has slowly made some small changes, so maybe you're right and that he'll get there in his own time (I only wish it was a little faster! :))

I'd say a little friendly competition goes a long way!!! Whoever can lose the most weight % in a certain time frame wins something? Or as soon as you both drop 5 pounds, you get to do something fun? I have the same kind of thing going on with my bf.. he doesn't really need to lose weight, but he could stand to tone up - he is just very inconsistent - he will lift weights for a couple weeks, and then just stop.. and his eating habits are not what they should be - he's a dang Health/Phy Ed teacher for pete's sake!!! Haha..

A competition might be a good idea if he is the competitive type. Just remember, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink! Although, I guess you can do your best to make the horse thirsty and make the water more enticing? LOL. Best of luck :)

Hello! I've just returned to FS after a long layoff. Nice to see you're still here. Also, I switched over to Weight Watchers hoping that I'll have success. Looks like you're doing well! :)
