I fell out of my diet for a while after returning from vacation, but I'm back on track! Starting tomorrow I will begin recording food again. I now have a new goal: I will be the maid of honor in my cousin's wedding at the end of April, I will try to lose 20 pounds by then. Here goes nothing!

185.0 lb Lost so far: 9.0 lb.    Still to go: 35.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

You can do it. Be sensible about your food, be realistic with your goal. Stay motivated and picture yourself at that wedding. Picture the future you, stay focused. If you got an invite, stick out on your fridge or anywhere else you see everyday as a reminder. Have fun while you again your goal, see it a motivation not a punishment and you'll be pleased when you reach that goal.

Thank you for your words of encouragement! I will definitely start making my goals a real focus. Envisioning the future self is definitely a great way, as well as putting up physical reminders that can be seen. Having fun is the hard part, but it requires a change in perspective which is difficult. For me, I need to constantly remind myself in order to get it into my head.
