I went to my meeting yesterday feeling really good, but felt deflated after only losing one pound. I talked with the leader for a while afterwards discussing the reasons why I am not losing more weight. I am really sticking to the program and I have dramatically improved my eating habits. I have to keep reminding myself that it has only been 4 weeks, and my body has to adjust to the new style of eating. I cannot imagine what would have happened to my body if I had continued to eat the way that I was! I'm going to stay focused and positive and watch this fat fly off my body!
218.0 lb Lost so far: 9.0 lb.    Still to go: 68.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

The truth is the fat may not fly off your body. It may peel off a pound at a time. But as long as it keeps coming off, you are doing well. You have to think of weight loss as a journey. You weight may go up and it will also go down. You may lose big one week and stay the same the next. You are eating healthy and taking care of yourself. Those are positive, wonderful things. So take pride in that "one" pound. Good luck!

Hi...I know exactly how you feel. I really did good last week and excercised 6 days by walking on the tread mill 1/2 hour. I totally stayed within my points and expected a good weight loss, but when I weighed in on Monday at WW meeting I was only down .8, it was a disappointment to me...BUT my leader said, it was good, at least I wasn't gaining, and there are so many reasons why at times the losses are not what we expect, but to just keep doing what I am and it will definitely come off. This may be a long trek, but it took me 30 years to become this fat, and hopefully it will not take me that long to lose my 100 pounds...because if it did I would be 90 years old...teehee...I am in for the long hall...I feel this is the very best way of life, I feel better than I have felt in a long time, and I am going to focus on that! We can do this, one step at a time...please don't get discouraged, hang in there...it will work out for you! Take out a pound of butter with the 4 cubes, look at it...would you like that 1 pound back? Hey, visualize your pound...its alot! Congratulations on your loss...Together we can do it!

One lb. a week is a wonderful thing. I would be very, very happy with a lb. a week.
