Well, I have not weighed in for awhile because I just have not been able to get back on track. I thought I was ok there for a couple of days, but I can't get back into it the way I was during September.

I was really worried that the week I had to go out of town would wreck the momentum. I think I was already getting to a low and losing my ability to stay on it but that week really did it. It started with my daughter's birthday on the 23rd and then that whole week was a bust.

Not sure how to get back on track. It is frustrating and disappointing.

163.0 lb Lost so far: 8.0 lb.    Still to go: 28.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 1.4 lb a week

It is frustrating and so depressing to feel like you've lost all control ... but you just have to set your mind to it, no matter how many times you "mess" up or feel like it's hopeless, just pick yourself up and keep going. Everyday is fresh, brand-new with no mistakes so make the best of it. It's hard but each day that you practice your diet, the better you'll get at it. The main thing I guess is that you can't give up altogether. You have got to keep going, even when you don't feel like it. Maybe you will do great today and that will help motivate you for tomorrow ...then the next day, and so on.....

It's alright and you will get back on track. This weight loss thing is a constant struggle. It's not a day that go by that I don't think about it. Get yourself together and try to start your diet again today; you can't change yesterday so learn from it and move forward. You will be OK. You can do it.

That happened to me around my birthday back in May. I had started losing, then went out of town with my husband for my birthday and gained it all back, losing my momentum along the way. I think for me it was a self-fulfilling prophesy because I was afraid I would fall off, so I did. Just take it one day at a time. I would suggest to set a new starting date (it can even be today) for yourself and stick to it like you were starting the first time. Don't look back, just learn from your mistakes. Next time you travel plan for your diet. I did that recently when we went out of town for our Anniversary. I planned to splurge one day but be good all the other days. I hope this helps.
