MightyFull's Journal, 27 May 2015

Today I am back on the wagon. Found some Jolly Rancher chews at our house and put it out for other people to eat. The only other people who enjoyed them was me. They are now in the trash can -- the off limits zone in the house. Also had some friends bring fabulous desserts to our Memorial Day party, and I enjoyed the last few tidbits of them last night. Gone. No longer a temptation. Another couple brought two large bags of potato chips -- regular and sour cream/onion. Yeah. Love Sour cream/onion. Both bags are officially in the trash can as of this morning. Some call it wasteful, I call it sanctuary! Getting temptation away from me to no man's land is a step in the right direction.

I hate being wasteful but I've also thrown out stuff in the trash so I wouldn't eat it...especially stuff left over from parties or get-togethers. I make sure I open the containers and mix the food up with the garbage because I've gone back after stuff before if it was still in the package. :) Good job getting the temptations taken care of.

I hate being wasteful too, but sometimes throwing those things out is necessary. My in-laws left us a bunch of food after our Memorial Day lunch, but none of it is allowed on my diet, so if my hubby and kids wouldn't eat it, it went in the trash. Luckily most of the stuff they left that was bad for them they wouldn't eat, but things like watermelon that they left I know they'll eat. Being able to get rid of your temptations instead of just eating them anyway, is a step in the right direction. It takes strength to do that. Good for you!!

There is actually no nutritional value in what you threw out so I don't consider it a waste!!

It always amazes me how people who know you are working on eating healthier always seems to bring sabotage items.
