I have no idea what to say to encourage you. I know you do everything right, see a nutritionist, work out, etc. But I know you'll do fine unless you start using A spoon to eat ice cream right out of the container or eating a bag of family size chips with ranch dip. When I was at a healthy weight I had a range of about 4 pounds I stayed within.

I weigh daily and these fluctuations are normal. Over time you'll notice that your weight will go down with lots of little bumps up along the way.

Keep doing what you are doing and wait for the whooosh Diana, sometimes the body is stubborn about turning things loose, when it gets ready it will dump it.

Fritzy, I am about ready to say, "screw it" and eat that ice cream! I have been so strict and other than calories being low, I've done all the " right" things. I had a good workout yesterday, burning 376 calories in body pump class + I did elliptical as a warm up. I did allow 100 carbs yesterday, figuring I would need the fuel. I also had more processed foods yesterday as I wasn't meeting my protein goal. I was extremely sleepy yesterday. I'm not sleeping well at all. I fall asleep but start waking up around 130 and then will fall asleep for about 10-15 min intervals and I usually just get uparound 4 am..Back to the grind but it is getting frustrating!

FatD, I see a nutritionist and she hates when I weigh daily. Normally I weigh myself twice a week but when I start to gain I obsess and start weighing daily. Debra, thank you. I agree 100% but this time it feels different. I feel like I'm battling with my own body. I like eating clean so I'll continue that WOE. Only thing I can figure is that my body is trying to figure out what to do with the changes.💜

Those last few pounds are so hard to come off. I think recent studies have shown that sleep has a bigger impact on weight loss than people think. Also, I'm guessing your body is a bit stressed, with the emotions of your dog's health. Just be patient and kind with yourself. Do what you can to get better sleep and to destress. But mostly, give yourself grace.

Your body doesn't want you to win. It wants extra energy stored like a chipmunk stores nuts. Tell it who's boss.

Lol..you made me visualize myself as a chipmunk..😂😂🐿️

Waffle, I'm beginning to wonder if sleep patterns and stress are playing a bigger role than originally thought...no excuses though. I've got to get it under control before it gets out of control.

Diana i do weigh daily which i dont think is super healthy for my brain but cant seem to help myself. If i deem the number acceptable i forget about it. If i dont like it (too high or too low) I obsessively compulsively think on it thruout the day. So that is definitely not healthy. Couple questions. How’s your hydration? Getting enough water? Electrolytes balanced? Are you eating more of your calories in the evening hours and how close to going to bed? Where is your protein at per day (sorry didnt look at your food calendar). Are your carbs higher than usual causing your body to hold onto excess fluids? Are you having regular healthy bowel movements (i know i know gross and tmi to think about). And yes, sleep and stress do have an impact on the scales over an extended period of time. (Also sodium)

Diana, sleeping with one eye open....so to speak, is very stressful for your body and the reduced rest is also stressful for your mind. In order to sleep with one eye open you are in a state of flight or fight...which is due to an influx of cortisol....cortisol inhibits weight loss, then you excrete more cortisol because you are stressed about not losing weight. You know you are emotionally stressed right now, and your body is still stressed from the surgery. Best thing you can do for right now is stay off the scale, keep eating right, keep working out but take your focus off of your weight and trying to force solutions. If you throw in the towel and eat the icecream (just as an example) You will increase the emotional impact of the stress and dip deeper into the spiral. You have good eating habits, you are working out, let your body do what it needs to do while you are dealing with the emotional stress and sleep disruption. You cannot control all of the issues consciously, if that actually worked...we would all be fit and trim my friend!!!

What is your absolute, no holds barred max you can accept as an acceptable weight? Your goal is 132, but there has to be some minor flexibility. Our bodies fluctuate for a multitude of reasons. I looked at your recent weight history & the max I saw was 136.8 (I think). That's less than 5 lbs. over goal. Most of the time you have been at some point below that. Although, like you I don't want to be 5 lbs. over, I try to accept my fluctuations. I do let it guide my choices, but try not to be too rigid. Do you feel healthy? Are your clothes fitting OK? Do you have energy? You have had some major stress lately & it is probably affecting your body. Don't stop trying to hit your goal weight, but try to not let it stress you even further.

Also, i did just look at the past few days and your sodium was not quite double what it looks like you normally have just two days ago so that may be playing a part….

I understand your struggle and having the same issues. I am getting so freaking tired of following my macros. However reading comments and what YOH said I wonder about hydration too. I know I don't drink enough water. I also sleep horribly! I am going to get a Testosterome pellet Wednesday to see if that helps my insomonia and other menopausal issues. Keep trying!

You are going through some hard times. The body is doing its thing. Maybe just try to maintain for now?

Your frustration & worries are taking a toll on you. I hope ways to ease up will manifest & you can re-center soon.

Diana1234. I went through this at varying plateaus in my journey. I gained 3 or 4 lbs in a few days only to see it shoot down lower after. It’s almost as if it’s your body’s last hoorah before you push for the finish line. You’re winning always remember that! You can see the finish line. You’re body cannot.

dont panic. your weight can fluctuate up to 5 lbs. it does not mean you gained fat, but instead its water weight, weight from food you take ate, and your bowls. if you weigh yourself when you wake up, have recently went to the toilet and are just a bit dehydrated, then your weight will certainly be lower. these fluctuations are normal.

*if you weigh yourself when you havent eaten yet.

Hi everyone! Thanks for your responses and I'll answer a few questions. YOH and Red porch, Hydration isn't a problem for me right now. I'm drinking lots of water but until YOH mentioned it a couple weeks ago I was not. In the summer it's never an issue cuz it's hot her but in winter I do forget. I have been drinking about 4 bottles of water a day. YOH, Not only is my weight up, my clothes are tight as well. If they weren't I wouldn't be so concerned. I have been on point with getting over 100+ grams of protein, eating between 50-70 grams of carbs, and trying to get at least 40 grams of fat. I usually eat 100 grams of carbs but nutritionist thought we would stay low to jump start my system. Am supposed to start back to 100 grams next week. I did have more carbs and processed foods than I've been eating yesterday. I couldn't get protein up so I had a protein bar. ( cont on next post)
