orcaprice's Journal, 13 March 2015

Well, its been about 10 days and I have been chocolate free (excluding one day when I had guest to dinner)...I am down from about 7-8 diet cokes a day to about 3-4. I really thought I would have lost SOMETHING...but I am just in a holding patter. I plan to up my water intake starting Monday, and I got to responses to my advertisement for a walking buddy and we meet Monday am. If I can get in some good walking 5 day a week, increase my water and try to cut down to just 2 cokes a day...perhaps I will finally see some results. If you preview my eating habits, I eat healthy and stay under 1200 calories a day sometime way under 1000...so IDK what the deal is. But hopefully Monday will be the kick start I need to get off this holding pattern...
175.0 lb Lost so far: 45.0 lb.    Still to go: 30.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Sounds like you have a plan. Just keep plugging away. You will see results soon. It isn't always in the numbers. I like the see results in the way my cloths fit.

Good Luck with your plan. Consistency is key. I wouldn't stress over the calories if I were you but I would definitely carry on cutting out the coke and chocolate (evil stuff!) I hope you and your buddy hit it off! That's a great idea!

Keep with it. That MASSIVE reduction in sugar will help you so much, it has for me, and Coke is SO bad for you, especially the gut. Once you have given up on this addiction (and it is an addiction) you will feel so much better. When you can, bring it down even more. It will take a little while to see some changes but they will suddenly happen so keep with it. It's ok to have a little treat now and then otherwise you'll feel deprived, and make sure you eat little and often (no missing meals). Good luck with your quest! x

You will probably start to see more of a drop as you decrease your soda intake. I buy coke as a rust remover, I don't drink it. Soak rusty metal in it for a day and you have clean metal. Scarry thought that people put this stuff in their stomachs.
