Hi, my name is Angel and I am a young at heart 50 year old mother of 3. All my children are grown-no grandkids yet. My oldest son is married. All my life I have been healthy and in good shape and never had an issue with my weight until the last 5 years and its been a loosing battle until I am where I am at now. 48 pounds overweight, out of shape, and disgusted. I have vowed to take back my life and am put into effect several changes including giving up alcohol and cigarettes, buying only fresh fruits and vegetables, eliminating all junk food and diet sodas and fast food. not that junk food and fast food were ever an issue for me. But I am make a fresh start with a clean slate and am hoping this website can help.

LOW Carb and Healthy Snacks
I eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, fish and chicken baked. Low carb yogurt, nuts and fresh fruit for snacks (I get 2 a day). I get 1200 calories to play with and I try to keep my protein higher then my carbs. That's about it. Juice and water (lots of water) to drink.

I have responded to thank everyone for their generous ideas and many thanks. I am just struggling with food urges, not know what to do, low cal, low carb, high protein, low protein, theres a million ways to go and I don't know whats right for me. I am stuck right now just trying to figure that out. I just want to loose this weight and am trying everything I can. I cut calories, now I am cutting carbs, my brief personal trainer told me high protein, my life coach said not unless I wanted muscles to look like a man....Im at my wits end.

Thanks everyone...I will try the fat bombs I think as a last resort...watching the calories too. But I will check out the internet as suggested. Im not a good cook so I try to find premade items that fit a "single woman on the go" lifestyle. I am proud to say I haven't hit a fast food restaurant in 9 months (other than for a hot fudge sundae) and don't miss it a bit. I did see that Atkins had some granola bars...Imna check the health food store tomorrow....

LOW Carb and Healthy Snacks
Can anyone suggest low carb, healthy snacks? I have been looking for "good" granola bars to replace my nature valley granola bars that are nothing but processed sugar. I found carbmaster yogurt at Kroger that I am forcing myself to eat. What are some other snack items? Any suggestions? Apparently fruit is high carb and calorie so I cant eat a lot of that either....
