AuntieJan's Journal, 05 July 2011

Pretty long day today... hit the ground at 6:30am and finally ready to put it in the rack at 11:30pm.

Went to the gym this morning, no complaints out of anyone, did the elliptical for warmup then treadmill for cardio. 20 minutes on arms & shoulders.

I spent the rest of the day at Nomad either up on a ladder or otherwise performing manual labor of some kind, burned a gazillion calories. The space is looking awesome ans we should be set for the grand opening on Sunday. I promose pics!

I made the mistake of not taking enough food with me for lunch and snacks and then got really, really hungry because I hadn't had eaten enough, so then I was ready to devour everything in sight. Did ok overall though, I finished off the month of June strong after a slow start!!! It's all about balance, and keeping my eyes on the prize. It's so easy to lose focus when you are tired and frustrated with the darned scale... I have come to know and accept that phantom pounds appear and almost as quickly disappear (thanks Tracy!).

I need to get one of those arm band thingies for my iPod... the new gym shorts I purchased have no pockets so I had to strategically insert the player in between the girls... the iPod was good with that but the girls had more negative opinions. I heard something about invasion of personal space and harming theit inner child... sheesh. You can't please everybody I guess.

Tomorrow is my session day, and that is going well, have some stuff to write tomorrow morning but it's not much. I like Rachel very much but to be really honest, I have been missing Erin a LOT. I guess I'll get over it at some point.

Well folks I've got to get to bed! Peace to all and keep at it... July is going to be great for us!!!!

Auntie, I noticed your weight is down again today! Congratulations on that! I hope you find a suitable solution to your iPod problem. You must never harm the inner child of your girls! They are not known for their forgiving nature. You definitely burned some calories working today. Good for you! Rachel will never be Erin, but it's good that you like her. Have a good session tomorrow! Hugs to you tonight!

Hi Auntie Jan, I recently bought an armband for my ipod... It is ok - secures with velcro - can be a bit off-putting as you are aware you have something secured to the top of your arm... Also, I have to have it quite high up for when I go on the rowing machine, this makes I difficult to see the screen when you want to pause or change music. Never the less I got on with it ok. Just something to bear in mind, I bought mine on line - probably better if you can try before you buy (just in case you were wondering, you can't put it around your wrist or forearm - I think that would be better for viewing the screen(I have a Nike+ so want to pause when you change equipment)). Anyway glad you kicked butt at the gym :-)

Again I get tired trying to follow your day. Mine is spent at a desk shuffling paper - lots and lots of paper.

Nice drop Madame B!!! Don't worry time will heal - it hasn't been a long time and feelings don't turn off because someone is not around. Looking forward to seeing some of your handywork soon :)

I'm the same as Buffy - this week I feel like just setting the whole damn lot alight and watching it burn - lol does that make me sound like a crazy person?????

LOL you all make my day... Pam you are right the girls must be protected at all times... although I admit they got a little sunburned last week at the resort. Have a beautiful day!

Hey Skinny thanks for the info. I think I would prefer something I can clip on to my waistband, but I'll see what I can find. Have a Skinny day!

I know Buffy I used to sit at a desk all day long too... I hated it. I would much rather be out of an office any day, but we do what we have to do right? Thanks for your thoughts!

Hey there Tracy... thanks for the props and I also for the continued wisdom from across the pond. I know over time I won't miss my sessions with Erin as much, but I know I will look forward to seeing her in the fall if we happen to cross paths, which we probably will since it's not that big of a building. Cheers!
