If you sto working, that happens as far as my own experience can tell... :) Also it may happen if you have had lots of salad, which as described by the book, will make your body hold more water... But the next days, you will see that weight go down...

Thank you for your comment! i don't have the book-so did not know that about salad. I had a big salad yesterday for lunch. Today is a pure protein day so I hope you are right and I see a loss tomorrow.

I had a lot bumps in my first month road http://www.fatsecret.com/Default.aspx?pa=memnd&id=3575420 I almost gave up in some of them because when I added salad I started retaining and losing less, or increasing... But the book explains that fact about more water being retained after going to the cruise phase with salads... Hope that helps you be motivated!

Nonsense. You can't gain weight like that, and judging from your diet calendar you cals are very low but your sodium is higher than your day w/ more cals! As for Marcello, wonder what that means about the salad. Glad for his comments to be helping you.

So chin up, believe!!! Drink your water!

Drinking away. How did you see the sodium content on my food calendar? So we are talking water weight, here and not 1.5 pounds of fat?

1 pound = 3thousand and some calories, so unless if you ate that much yesterday, no, you didn't gain real weight. I always say upflucts are so much easier to lose than real weight too. (so I'm still TRYING to believe I weigh 113 LOL!) oh and when you enter your foods right under your calorie count you can change your settings to whatever 6 you want. I have it as sodium, fat, carbs, fiber, protein and kcals. Its Edit Preferences, I don't think I want to see sugars but I am curious since I eat a lot of fruit now.

Oh hair build up, thats what Amryk calls it. LOL!

I am practically bald-so can't go there, haha! I know about the edit preferences, I'd have to give up something to get sodium. Just wondering how you were able to see my sodium intake when I did not have it checked? Did misunderstand? The crazy thing is I burn way more than 3500 most weeks and if I was losing a pound for every 3500 deficit, I'd be a super model. That said, it's hard fro me to believe that it works the other way too.

I guess it shows me your intake on my settings. Go into mine, I dont fill it out much but you can see a day or so last week. You do click on the number of calories and it takes you into the description of what I ate, then the list according to your settings.

Cal in vs Cal out is simple math, but to lose weight you have to overcome many other obstacles. Stress, metabolism, health issues, medication, postivity lol (had to throw that one in there), starvation mode. If you are eating way too little your body holds on to your weight because it never knows when it will eat again. I think thats why zigzagging works so well, it keeps tricking your body. It keeps it thinking and changing. When I was working out heavy 2 summers ago I wasn't losing. Someone suggested I up the cals making my deficit under 500 a day, that worked! You just have to keep trying things til something works. This diet works for you, just don't let those upflucts confuse you. You can't gain wieght that fast. It can NOT be fat nor mucscle, not that fast. :) Yay!
