Oh I am beating myself up today.. I gave in to a piece of cake. Our library (next to where I work) always has cake on Friday. I have been able to resist for the past couple months.. I usually give my piece to someone else.. but today, it was one of my weaker moments, I stred at this orange sherbert looking cake, and thought. well just a taste.. I know better.. just a taste is like just one drink for an alcoholic!..

One taste led to another.. then another.. then, oh heck.. finish it.. and I did. Sighh. at least today I just had a very small meat patty and some lettuce. for lunch. and I did exercise this morning.

Problem is, now I am wanting more sugar. so.. I am thinking, perhaps I need to either do a cleanse, or for sure get to the store and get some apples, oranges, and strawberries that my diet allows.

The past week is like I have plateaued out.. I am not gaining, but I am not losing either. So, I am a little bit discouraged. I want to see the scales dropping like I did when I first started the HCG diet the first part of it... Arrrghh.

Thinking if after my month that I am supposed to be on the strict part that I do not lose, I may switch to a different type of diet? Anyway.. I am looking forward to the weekend.. Nothing special planned but it is nice to have some time off from work.

Just relax about the one piece of cake, you were able to stop after it. I know how hard the cravings are after though. It is normal to plateau so be happy as long as you are not gaining. Have a great weekend!

Hello, Sherry! I'm so happy to see you tonight! I have to agree with Dana. You had the cake, it was apparently tasty and you apparently enjoyed it. Please don't ruin that enjoyment by feeling guilty and beating yourself up. I try not to comment or give advice to people who are on diets that I don't have any experience with. That said, I do think you might want to consider a different type of diet if after another month you are not satisfied with the results you are getting. Diets that have very strict phases are nearly impossible to continue as a means of an ongoing healthy lifestyle. I hope I haven't offended you. Have a lovely and blessed weekend my friend! ((((Mysterious))))) none taken. :) My intentions for the strict diet is to train myself the right amounts to eat, and to lose the majority of my weight.. then, I intend to do a diet that is a bit more varied, where I will allow myself a desert now and then as a treat, rather then as a normal daily fix. LOL.. and avoid fried foods.. eat more veggies, and broiled or steamed meats. Just as I gave up smoking, I am determined to make a healthy lifestyle change.
