Jada Petsch's Journal, 10 June 2011

240's! 240's! Oh yeah! Woot! ^.^ *does happy scale dance* lol. It's a good morning. I waited a bit before weighing this morning. Had to get Jules settled and working on some laundry, packing, etc. And when I first got on the scale it said 248.5, and I was like no way I dropped that much over night. When I got on again it said 249.5, so I'm happy with it. ^.^ With 1 day to spare! Woot! lol. Really going to enjoy my weekend and reward myself for breaking out of the 250's by getting some new pants. You would laugh to see how baggy the waist of the ones I had on yesterday was. XD lol. Realized that I needed to move in another notch on my belt. 5 inches in on a belt that couldn't even fit around my hips when I started. This time last year I was contemplating gallbladder surgery, getting 3-4 hours of sleep at night, painful gallbladder attacks that lasted most of the night. I weighed about 320ish at the time I think too. (per doctor's records) The only comparison to me last year vs this year is I feel like a different person. A younger person. A healthier person. I'm so happy I did this for myself.

I felt half alive for a long time and didn't really hit me til I started writing all this out. And if I only felt half alive, then half of me was dead/dying. Just a had a good cry for myself. Not about guilt or shame. Never felt any of that. I have been comfortable with who I am for a long time. But now I feel like a whole person. Very Alive, Happy even though I've been through some rough things recently. Overwhelmingly different, more will power, more patience, stronger mentally and physically. I wish I would have started this Journey sooner, could have filled my life with so much more than I did. I love cooking now. Still hate dishes, but LOVE cooking food. New dishes, trying new things. I get really excited when I find a new healthy recipe I want to try. I have more energy to play with my Daughter. We have a blast together. Yesterday we spent the late afternoon outside grilling, blowing bubbles, playing catch, drawing with chalk on the porch, and just running around. I couldn't have kept up with her like I was last June, or the June before that. I didn't have the energy I have now.

Going to leave it there and look back at this Journal when I have low motivation. It's worth it. Even when the scale isn't budging or I can't exercise because of foot issues. Just do the best I can and keep working towards an even healthier me.

You are doing great!! Im like you, I have found that I love cooking new recipes and hate doing the dishes. Sometimes I just stare at them hoping they will all of a sudden be done! lol Have a great weekend!!

lol Ashlee. XD Sometimes I can give my hubby sad looks til he does them. But with him working the hours he is right now and long commute, it just doesn't seem fair for me to ask him to do them. Our long running jokes is that when he's not home Armando the male housemaid comes over and does the dishes in a speedo and tan muscley glory. lol. Armando also does windows and floors. ^.^
