Gerri, we share the same name but spelled differently. Fun weeks are so important, glad you had a good one. Also happy for you that your weight went down a bit more and your plan is working for you. On the carbs, since you are losing with your plan, just make sure they are nutrient dense ones and not junk foods. My carbs are always because of the way I eat.

So far I've lost 46 pounds since the middle of February. I have beat my goal by 9 pounds, now a new goal, still working on 1500 calories a day.

i was really tired when i posted this morning and didn't proof read! sorry! i think it says: i'm glad i got to go enjoy burgers with my husband and some bourbon and fig newtons. i will have to get rid of those soon too. i have a problem with cookies when i stay up too late. i couldn't fall asleep last night. i finished the cookies but still stayed within my rdi. i was actually hungry. and the cookies helped. i don't think i would have eaten them if i didn't have enough calories left over. i ate them way more slowly than i used to, and they lasted much, much longer. so maybe it's not too bad. i don't really want to give up alcohol. but it is empty calories. oh, and yes, my fingers were on the wrong keys!

i think most of the carbs i'm eating are from fruit and the like. i used to eat WAY too much bread and pasta, and i'v hardly had any of that. also my breakfast is raisin bran and that has a ton of carbs, but i like to eat it because it helps with my ibs and keeps me full until lunch time.

jerrie, but started using jeri once I was out of high school as people would read the two r's as n's and call me jenny. I love homemade bread. I make bread most every week using seeds, stone ground whole wheat flour and garbanzo bean flour, so it's actually pretty packed with nutrition. I also eat pasta now and then, and lots of different whole grains and legumes. I go in spurts as to what l'm eating as i'm a very eclectic cook. right now i'm playing with my new/old smoker and my gas grill also new. i'm eating more animal protein than usual due to that, but also smoking and grilling veggies. Summer and I live outside of Kansas city so it's BBQ time.

My laptop died so am on a surface tablet, I haven't found a way to turn off the spell check yet. I know there is one. FS won't let my iPhone log in except on the app.

i just love homemade bread. for one diet reason after another (previous diets) i haven't made any in a long time. i tend to eat the whole thing rather quickly. i eat pasta now and then, but the big change in eliminating starches is that i don't have them as often and i don't let myself buy fresh bread. that's such a hard one. i had some great fresh bread at brunch last week and resisted buying a loaf to bring home. that was a real test of the wills.

i brought my ipad with me on vacation 2 weeks ago and wasn't able to use the site at all, except on my phone to log my food. i couldn't read or comment. i kept getting logged out. so frustrating. i hope you figure things out on the tablet soon, jeri

@Gnewfry - I was having that problem too w/ my ipad! Could use the app but not get to the full site. Draglist suggested a couple of different browsers - one was Puffin. It was available for free download. I got in immediately on first try and have STAYED logged in. Not sure if it works on phones, but it did the trick for me on ipad.
