Monday morning and up by 1kg from Friday! This is all due to Fri/Sat beer/wine and Pringles....my body still not ready to have a good time and behave and burn the fat!Lol! This weekend we have the Isle of MTV concert - i only drink water in that one. Then two parties on Friday (one of them is pasta night, not sure how i'm going to tackle this, the other one is a drinks party after). I'll try and keep it low until Friday to compensate for the +2kg anticipation for next Fri/Sat!

Jen, unfortunately Pringles, beer & wine are all sugar...not fat. I fear that's what's causing the uptick on the scale. Hopefully, its just water retention. All of those items will cause me to retain a bit more water than usual and it only takes 1 liter of water to add 1 kg of weight. So, hopefully you'll drop back down fairly rapidly.

Thanks for the info TX, I will stop getting Pringles, that should be easy. I buy Beck's Blue non-alcoholic beer and sometimes i add the Moscato to it! It's is delicious but as you say it's alot of sugar, never thought of it that way... I'll try to have black coffee instead, still gives me the buzz!...and your fact explains why i go down during the week and double up in the weekend! I knew it had to do with the alcohol!...and Pringles!

It's all about the balance. Gotta treat ourselves every now and again. It will crank itself back into place.

Agree about the treats, but it amazes me how i can go up 2 kilos in one night then take about a week or two to get back down to the original weight! takes mighty long time to crank itself back!

I tried something new on my trip to Ft. Worth for a treat. Chicharones (deep fried pork skins). They're all protein and fat with no carbohydrates. Remarkably tasty and a bit addictive. Although high in protein, the bag declared that it was not a significant source of protein and a little internet searching showed me that most people feel that the protein in pork rinds may either be bio-unavailable or incomplete. However, the point remains that there were no carbs, in the snack and less fat than in potato chips (Wikopedia says that 43 percent of pork rind's fat is unsaturated, and most of that is oleic acid, the same healthy fat found in olive oil. Another 13 percent of its fat content is stearic acid, a type of saturated fat that is considered harmless because it does not raise cholesterol levels. So you might try that with some low-carb beer next weekend! Enjoy.
