I gained 4 lbs this week. :( 172 is too heavy for my little 5'4 frame.
I need to find a new way to motivate myself so I saw this sight and thought I would check it out. I really need some support.

I have been so busy and tired. And not sleeping well. Now let's add to the equation perimenapause. Great. Something new and different~lol. No one prepares you for these things.

I became a certified personal trainer four years ago, and I was in great shape then. But I had a shoulder surgery that put me out of commission for a year and it seems like that was the beginning of my weight increase. Now I feel too fat to train anyone until I get results for myself. So I will monitor myself with documentation and hold myself accountable. I know what I need to do. I just need to do it.

I have researched so much over the years about nutrition and exercise. And I know lack of sleep is a factor in weight gain because it increases the body's cortisol level. So I know that I need to get enough sleep for starters, and return to a structured work out plan. I always try to eat pescatarian. And now I am trying to reduce carb intake, and increase water intake.
So, today I will begin by planning my work outs, meals, and sleep rituals...and I will do at least 30 minutes of yoga....I want to loose 35 lbs....I am afraid to say I will reach this goal in 20 weeks...but there~I said it.

I think my greatest challenge is self-control. I let myself get influenced by others. So, praying for self-control. I can do this.

Sounds like you have all the tools to lose. Check out a book (look at reviews) on amazon.com called "Becks Diet Solution". It's not a diet book, but a book about changing our behaviors and how we think about food (and self control). It might also be in your local library. It might give you ideas on dealing with self control. I also go on Pinterest.com for motivation. I type in "fitness motivation" and look at all the pics, quotes, etc. Always gets my butt up and motivated. Good luck!

I will have to look for the book. I like pinterest too. Now if I can just do more than look at my inspirations board :)

Tuesday 1:52 a.m. It is going to be in the 90's...plan A beat the heat with an early walk/ plan B yoga 40 minutes. wish me luck.
