Irishq2's Journal, 22 May 2014

It's been very hard to keep up exercising and diet when there's a very sick person in the household. My hubby is going through chemo and radiation and I have to constantly make sure he is taking his meds, healthy foods and drinking lots of fluids.

We went through that with my MIL about 5 years ago, she lived with us and it was so hard to do anything other than take care of her. I am thankful for every day that we got to spend with her though and wouldn't change it for the world, other than to take back the cancer and have her back. My only suggestion would be to make sure you ask for help if/when you need it. The only way people will know how or when to help is if you ask them, so don't feel selfish or like a burden to ask. Good luck to you and your hubby!!

I understand where you are coming from. My mother in law just passed away in April from small cell lung cancer more than likely caused by her smoking. That is a hard road. I will be praying for you and your hubby. Keep in mind the best thing you can do for him is take of YOU in the process.

I agree with Mars2kids ask for help. You shouldn't have to do it by yourself. That is not good for you or him.
