Its been a troubling week, my mom is sick and was supposed to be going into hospital yesterday but it got put off due to overcrowding until Monday. Its been "up all night" situations because she's in so much pain, she got new meds yesterday and she seems to be doing better today.

My sleep has been all over the place and my I feel like my nerves are gone! I've been waking up in the middle of the thinking I can hear my Mom calling me but she's not, I go to her room, and she's asleep. I do this 4 or 5 times a night.

What I'm trying to say is, my weight loss has been the last thing on my mind this week, my mother comes first, however I did fill out my food diary every single day and yesterday was the first time in almost 4 months that I ate over 1500KCals and it was all down to a moment of weakness and some cheesecake :(

I felt bad afterwards but decided not to waste time worrying about it when I have so much more to worry about. Thankfully I only went up 0.6lbs yesterday and came down 0.2lbs by this morning. Its also the first time that I haven't lost any weight in a whole week. Disappointing but at least I didn't put on a lot of weight.

here's hoping for a less stressful week this week, and hoping that hospital will be good for my mother and she can get some pain relief. have a good Saturday everyone.

I do understand about having a stressful week. I took my nephew to appoints on Monday and Wednesday which means I spent 3 hours in the vehicle both days and then at 3:30 am Wednesday morning I got a wake up call about my mom having chest pains and on her way to the hospital. So I haven't been sleeping good for the last couple of nights. She didn't have a heart attack or a stroke but her white blood cells count is down and they are running all kinds of test to find out why so her 1 days is now going into its third day. I just hope they find out why.

I'm so sorry to hear about the problems you have both been experiencing this week. I can identify with you both and I sincerely hope that everything is resolved for you and your loved ones in the best possible way very quickly. It's tough handling stress and very hard not to feel guilty when we crack under the pressure, but that just adds to the load and makes things harder to deal with. I'm having a challenge trying not to beat myself up for my stress related eating this week, because I know that it has to catch up with me at some point if I keep letting it win, but it's not easy. All I can say is try to be kind to yourself and take it one day at a time. Forget the day before and do your best in the present. It's not a test and we can all go at whatever pace we choose; so what if that's a bit slower than we hoped for. We will get there in the end. Stay strong.
